Chapter 32: The Wild Hunt

¬Third Person P.O.V¬

For the past few days Leo's felt an air of unease about the woods, not simply due to its alien landscape but more so due to the mystery surrounding them. He had so many questions, where exactly were they? How were they going to get home? And most important of all, where was his sister? Where was Ashley?

Today was the day that he'd know the answer to at least one of those questions, at least he hoped he would. Finding himself at the edge of the den alongside Piper, Oliver, and Noah, he awaited worg huntsmasters to complete their rituals. They were near the fire, charring their fur with hot ash; they claimed the marks gave them the protection of the ancestors, pleasing those who's bones they wore.

"Hey, father winter." Oliver called out to Leo, leaning against one of the glowing trees he seemed touchier. Maybe it was the fear of the unknown finally getting to him, or maybe it was the fact the blonde man ran out of cigarettes a few days ago, Leo had no clue.
