"Hey Orange, you want to-" Sam got interrupted. "Sorry, Sam, ditching today. Maybe some other time." Orange turned away from Sam. He stared at her back as she walked away. Ryan put his hand on his shoulder. "Nice, how did you get her to leave?"

"I-i did not. She just rejected me." Sam stared at Orange's retreating back. "Said she would skip." The group parted ways as she waled through them. "Oh, even better. She cant bother us today." Ryan grinned widely.

"HEY MISSY! YOU CANT JUST LEAVE! WORK WITH ME!" Commander yelled. "Yes sir." Orange said, heading over to him. "Shit." Ryan muttered. Everyone started their basic routines. "WIND FLOW!" Ryan said, and pointed his sword at Sam. "Oof" Sam said at the whirlwind hit him in the stomach.

"Come on man, your distracted." Ryan ground, helping Sam up. "Sorr-" Sam got interrupted again. "COMMANDER! WE NEED PEOPLE ON THE BATTLEFIELD! ITS AN EMERGENCY!" A messenger ran up, blood covering his face. People gasped while some looked at Commander.

"ALRIGHT MEN! ITS YOUR CHANCE TO PROVE YOURSELF IN REAL BATTLE! LETS GO!"  Commander ran out the gate the messenger ran in and everyone followed him.

~~~~~~~
Everyone stood in disbelief. All around them were dead bloody bodies. A massicure. The messenger was dead. He died from blood loss behind them. Ryan looked around. Orange crouched in front of a dead person and sniffed. "...Aurum..."
Commander looked around and drew his sword. "Get ready to fight, people"  Everyone drew their sword.
In a flash, three people dead, the rest fighting.
"Sam!" Orange yelled, slashing a Aurum across the chest. Sam and Orange went back to back. "Ryan! Over here!" Orange waved Ryan down as she stopped a sword from slashing her. Ryan came over and hit a Aurum attacking Sam.
"AGHH!" Orange screamed as a blade hit her shoulder digging in. Sam ran over. "We should use the magic!" He said, chasing off the person attacking Orange. "NO! You dont know how to master the magic yet. And there are to many other teammates nearby." Orange said, standing up.
"I agree."Ryan came up beside both of them. They deflected a hit from three people. Suddenly a sent filled Orange's senses. "WATCH OU-!" Orange yelled, turning around. But it was to late.
A sword shone through Sam's chest.
He coughed up blood as the killer digged deeper. "NO!" Ryan slashed the Aurum away. "Hold on..." Orange pulled the sword out and put Sam down. Shaking hands, she ripped her shirt and pressed it against the wound. Sam grabbed her hand.
"My fate. J-just do me a favor and... dont die..." Sam sighed his last sigh. Orange screamed. Blue shards flew from the ground and speared all the Aurum left. Complete silence.
Ryan came up to Orange holding Sam's body ashing away. "No..." Ryan looked broken. He pulled his sword up to his throat. "I'm sorry..." A hand grabbed the blade.
"You may have not kept your promise, but it in nothing to do suicide over." Orange pulled the blade from Ryan's hand. "There was no way to prevent that. The blade was focused on the target, and would cut through any other person in the way. And anyway," Orange looked up and Ryan gasped.
"I should have stayed away." She said, red tears running down her face.
