CHAPTER 18 - Shun and Demi

Maeve waited patiently for the call from Shun that night. Finally, at 8 o’clock, her phone rang.

“Hey,” Shun greeted awkwardly.

“Hey,” Maeve replied.

“So, about Brie, and also Demi…” He goes straight to the point. Maeve prepares her ears and keeps listening.

“Let’s say, I’m done with Demi. I’m not crazy for her anymore…”

“...Since I already got Brie who will be the one who can accept me. Now I got Brie, I’ll not fool around with every girl that I met anymore.”

No sounds from Maeve but the line was still connected. She sighed.

“An explanation like this, I can’t simply accept it. You’ve been loving and caring for her for years, and just like that?” She commented. Clearly unsatisfied.

“So?”

“So, I don’t believe it.”

“I’m not gonna force you to believe it or accept it, anyway, it’s up to you. You demand an explanation so I give it to you.”
