Chapter 38 Defensive Act

“Boss….ss…” Jake stuttered nervously as he looked at the gloomy face of Derek.

“Mr. Walter, would you like to explain to all of us what happened during the trip to Florence??” He questioned loudly, his voice firm and cold.

Jake’s face paled, as his eyes moved between Derek and me in fear.

“Uhmm… Nothing, Boss… I and Miss Hood were having a normal chat about the trip…” He lied and I scoffed loudly.

“Mr. Walter, I am not interested in your conversation at all, I just want to know about the trip you have been talking about so confidently. So, please, enlighten me, on what actually happened in Florence from which I am still unknown.

Please…”

Derek spoke so calmly, but the calmer he spoke the worse it looked.

Jake’s head started to fill with sweat, and he looked around his colleagues for some help.

Sadly, no one dared to step in front of Derek.

“How would… How would I know, Sir…?” He dribbled nervously.
