That gunshot broke the barrier of my patience and I spoke out impassively.

There was silence at the other end and then a mocking laugh came.

Eric spoke in wit.

“Let everyone go, Eric, since when did you become a murderer?” I questioned, overwhelmed by the information of the massacre he created at the Shepherd Villa.

“Murderer??

What about Grandpa and Dad, who murdered my childhood together, my happiness, Derek?”

His question made me avert my eyes at my father.
