DEREK POV :

“What should I do, Derek??

As soon as Amy saw my sight, she rushed to me and blabbered anxiously.

At the call, she sounded tampered but seeing her state, she looked worse than I had thought.

Taking her in my arms I tried to calm her down, “Relax, Amy, where did you see her the last time??”

“Last time??” Amy looked at me for a second and then replied, “Here, right here, she asked for her favorite plum cake. I told her I would buy it for her next time, but she insisted on sending me back to the store.

I thought it would be fine, where would she go alone?

But as I returned she wasn’t here, Derek…

She’s lost…

I lost her…”

Amy cried out guiltily and my hold tightened on her.

“It wasn’t your fault, she must be here somewhere…” I consoled her but she remained in remorse.

Sighing in distress, I took her inside the colony and then asked for the CCTV footage, in which we saw her mother hailing a cab from the outside.
