Chapter 121 Portrait

DEREK POV :

I didn’t appreciate the revelation Elsa had just made to Amy, it wasn’t necessary at all.

And the way her eyes were dilating, I could tell her wild imagination had started.

This dinner was supposed to be arranged for me and Amy, only. Those two other individuals were completely uninvited.

Sadly, I can’t throw Tom out of my place nor could ask Elsa to leave.

My eyes stayed fixed on Amy, she ate very little but tonight she can’t resist her favorite dessert. Thinking of it, I stood from my place with a small excuse.

With a smile of satisfaction, I took out the chocolate cake which Amy always devoured, and surely she will this time too.

“The dessert…” As the host, I placed the cake on the table and watched Amy’s expression intently. She looked surprised but then masked the coldness.

Why??

Without a thought, I cut the first bite for her, “Here…”

I handed her the plate, but she didn’t take it, “No thanks, Mr. Shepherd, I’m on a diet.”
