Lucky Spin

"Choose "To stay" alright?" Joseph reminded others when the screen appeared in front of them. It was for the players to decide whether they will spawn back to their original places or if they will stay at the Main Plaza and roam around the area.

Carter's eyes drifted to his screen after hearing Joseph's reminder.

He clicked the "Sta" button just like what Joseph had said. Carter looked around and saw how players, one by one, disappeared from his sight. A deep sigh escape from his lips when he saw that only a few players have chosen to stay at the Main Plaza.

"Alright, let's go!" Lucas loudly cheered followed by Joseph before everyone got moving.

'Nice!' Carter grinned when he saw that he was now Level 7. All he needs to do now was to level up 8 more times to accomplish his main quest.

"Yow, this is easier if there's 8 of us," Joseph giggled when the Spider died in less than ten minutes. It was so fast that they didn't even sweat at all!

All of them were on their way to the Grand Plaza. They decided to eat an early dinner there and part ways afterward. Since both groups were staying at two different places, it was impossible for them to stay longer together.

Carter, who was at the back, strolled around. His mind was occupied by the thought of what he needed to do, to level up early.

"Look at that!" Lucas' loud voice caught all of their attention.

Glancing over to what Lucas was pointing out, Carter raised his eyebrows as he read the name of the shop. "Lucky Spin?"

"Let's try that one!" Joseph smiled as he pulled Carter's and Dandrik's hands. Lucas and the others followed them seconds after.

"1 silver coin each spin… That's quite a lot!" Angela uttered in a disapproving voice.

Lucas tilted his head, disagreeing with Angela. "Let's just try this! I bet there are good prizes here if it costs this much," the man defended.

"Are we going in?" Gian, who was standing by the side, asked curiously.

Joseph and Lucas looked at each other quickly. Their eyes met as they nodded their heads nonstop.

'Should I try this?' Carter questioned himself when their feet entered the building.

The building was painted beige. It was designed with colorful balloons while a roulette was placed in the middle. There was a cardboard sign on the side, indicating the price of each spin.

The roulette has 13 numbers. The 12 of them have the same sizes, while the remaining one was smaller compared to the others. Below its number was the word 'Jackpot'.

"I would like to try!" Ciara raised her hand as she took out a silver coin. She gave it to the old man on the side who had been eyeing them since earlier.

The old man smiled and nodded. He accepted the money and guided the woman to the middle where the wheel was placed.

"You can spin it now," the man's voice breathed out.

Ciara happily spun the wheel. Their breaths hitched when they decreased as time passed by. Their eyes widened when it landed at number 3.

Since the wheel only contains the number and not the prizes, Ciara had to go near the old man and ask for what she won.

"Oh my!!" Ciara clapped when the old man opened up his palms until a black box appeared.

With excitement evident in her eyes, Ciara opened the box hurriedly.

The woman's eyes were greeted by a limited edition long red dress. Her eyes sparkled when she took out the dress. It covered the top part with lace, while a high slit could be seen on both sides.

Angela quickly raised her hand, which had a silver coin. She gave it to the old man and spun the wheel too. Her eyes widened when she won a dress as well.

It was a matching black top and a skirt. Just like Ciara, Angela's skirt has a slit on both sides. The clothes that she won were paired with a golden spike necklace.

When the others saw what the two women had won, they didn't hesitate to pay a silver coin too. Joseph won 5 silver coins which made him jump in excitement. Now he just needs to earn 15 more silver coins to accomplish his quest.

Gab and Gian both won a piece of cloth just like Ciara and Angela. Lucas gained 5 stat points, while Dandrik's prize was 100 Exp.

"Are you going to spin too, Carter?" Joseph curiously asked him when he was the only one left on the side.

Carter scratched the back of his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Since the food shops here are quite far, you can go there first. Just pin your location so I can find you later."

"Are you sure?" Dandrik questioned the man.

Smiling, Carter nodded his head. "I'll be quick on buying the paper since it's just near here. You should go now and find a place to eat and order already. So then, once I arrive, we can already eat."

"Take care then. Follow us immediately, alright?" Dandrik reminded the man like an older brother.

Joseph giggled and raised his thumbs up. "Carter, don't worry. I'll treat you to some food since I have money."

Carter couldn't help but grin at the man's offer. "Go now."

The 7 people bid their goodbyes to Carter. Carter nodded back as he saw his friends slowly disappearing from his sight. Since they had limited time and food shops were far away, they needed to look for a place to eat already.

"Are you going to spin as well?" The old man inquired.

Carter sighed when he didn't know what to reply. 'Hays… I'll just test my luck since the others have played it too.'

"One please." The man uttered as he took out a silver coin from his inventory.

Carter walked closer in the wheel's direction. He closed his eyes as he spun it.

"3 silver coins?" His forehead creased when the old man told him that he won 3 silver coins.

[You have been awarded 3 silver coins from the Lucky Spin Shop. ]

'Is my luck this cruel?' He asked himself when he received the notification.

Not satisfied with the result, Carter took out 2 silver coins. 'Dear Heavens, please give me luck,' he pleaded silently as he showed it to the old man.

"I'll spin two more."
