Carter slowly opened his eyes when the voices of people started to sound. His eyes wandered around. The familiar view of trees and benches greeted him. He was indeed in the Main Plaza already.

[Reminder: 10 minutes before we begin.]

A live timer appeared on his screen after the words vanished.

[09: 58…]

Carter didn't waste any time and opened the chat button to message either Joseph or Dandrik. Since he thought that they were spawned in different places, he had to do this in order to find out where the two men were.

"Where are you?" Carter typed out. He hit the send button as he turned around to survey the area.

*Ding

"Look around you," Saying Joseph's reply loudly, Carter turned around to see what the man was trying to say.

Carter couldn't help but chuckle when he saw Joseph at the very back. There were a lot of people on Joseph's front, making the man barely visible.

Carter shook his head as his feet marched on their way in the man's direction. Joseph, who was on the other side, waved cheerfully. He turned his hand from left to right, creating such a big movement that caught a lot of attention.

"You should stop that. You look like a fool," Carter tilted his head when he arrived. He was slightly embarrassed by Joseph's action. It seems like the man was not afraid of doing weird things even in front of other people.

Joseph grinned from ear to ear. He wiggled his brows and patted Carter's shoulder. "Why? Are you embarrassed by me now?" The man placed his hand on his chest and acted as if he was hurt.

"Dumbass. A lot of people were looking at you earlier. I just don't want them to think of you as a weirdo." Carter stated that made Joseph laugh loudly.

"Where's Dandrik, by the way?" Carter added in when he noticed that the man was nowhere to be seen.

Joseph pointed out their back that Carter's eyes immediately followed in. "There."

Dandrik smiled as he waved his hand. He was sitting down on a bench far back. He was the first person who saw Joseph since they just spawned on the place, side by side.

"Let's go there," Carter ordered around, leaving Joseph with no choice but to follow the man.

"Let's sit here for a while. There are still 5 minutes." Joseph exclaimed as he sat in between Dandrik and Carter.

The three people were sitting peacefully until a group of people arrived at their back.

"HI GUYS!"

Joseph's eyes widened when he heard a familiar voice. The three of them looked back and saw 5 people standing on their backs displaying a wide smile.

"Lucas!" Joseph yelled out loudly, which caught a lot of players' attention. With widened eyes, the man immediately bowed down to apologize for such noise.

Lucas giggled as he lightly shoved his elbow on Joseph's side which made the man laugh.

"We haven't seen you for days. How are you?" Joseph was the one who initiated the conversation first when he saw that Dandrik was too shy to speak. And, of course, Carter, who will not open his mouth unless you talk to him first or if he has something important to say.

"We're good! I want to say thank you again for our help when we were killing that fucking plant." Lucas laughed.

Joseph chuckled and shook his head. "Without you guys, I'm sure we won't defeat that thing too." the man answered.

"Hi Carter. Hi Dandrik." Lucas waved his hands at the two men.

Carter nodded and waved his hands back. "I'm glad to see you again."

Angela and Ciara, who were on Lucas's back, giggled. The two were smiling brightly while Gian and Gab were just standing in the back.

"Hi Carter!" Angela greeted the man. Her cheeks were tinted in red after waving her hands.

Carter slightly smiled and greeted the girl back. "Hi, Angela."

The reunion of the eight people was disrupted when a huge white screen in the middle of the Plaza appeared.

[Good afternoon, Dear Players. It is me, Black Cloak, greeting you all once again. It seems like it's been a very hectic week for you all. I saw how each of you got better each day as it passed by.]

[ There are only 86, 849 players left on the map. You should all look at your side. Try to remember the faces of the people that will be your enemy in the future.]

The voice was followed after by a deafening laugh. Carter covered his ear when the laugh lasted for a long period of time.

[ And now for the main event. Your rankings will be shown to everyone. But the exciting thing is, you get to choose whether the rankings will be shown in public or private for all of you!]

After the words, a white screen appeared on every player's screen. Carter's forehead creased as he saw what was written in the,

[ Public / Private]

Of course, the man chose the private button. He doesn't want everyone to know what his standing on the leaderboard. He wanted to have the information only for himself and with that way, he would feel secure.

[ RESULTS:]

"Dang," Carter let out a curse when he saw the results.

[What an interesting result we have here!]

The robotic voice of the man laughed once again.

[ Since that's your request, then I should command it. Your Result will be out after I speak. Don't forget everyone. That your friends today might be your enemy in the future.]

That was the last thing Carter heard before the voice disappeared. His eyes widened when the white screen flashed through all of their ranks. All players were waiting earnestly as their ranks get displayed one by one on the middle.
