CHAPTER 9: LOTTERY 

"Brother, it is so tasty let's get it for mom too." Amy said in a sweet voice.

"Sure" I said with a smile.

It has been an hour since my conversation with the system about the new skill and function of the system. After giving some more advice about surviving in a place like a forest, here we are eating food. After getting food for mom, we took a bus and went back home, it was already evening in the evening.

Just as we entered the home, we heard a worried voice of mom.

"What took you so long? Are you alright?" She started checking our body for any injury only to hear Amy's excited voice.

"Mom, we are alright, we had so much fun together and I also practiced my sword with brother, he taught me so many new things and we also got something good for you too" Amy said nonstop beaming with happiness.

"Yes, mom everything is alright." I also assured her.

"That's good." Mom said in relief.

"Mom, you go sit and let me get plates, we bought something to eat." Saying this I went to kitchen to get plates.

We started eating the snacks and soon finished. Just as mom was going to get up, I said something.

"Wait mom I have to tell you something." I said only to see her nodding with a confused expression.

"Well, I got a storage ring." I continued.

"It happened on the day of my result announcement when I went to the supermarket for groceries, I helped an old lady by carrying her things to her home and she as a thanks gave this storage ring to me. Even I was shocked." I saw a mild shock on Mom's face seeing the storage.

"Brother! Stop teasing her." Just as I was enjoying her expressions Amy shouted at me.

"*sigh* ok ... mom you know about the news of the company Alstones right? Well, I was one of those how had invested in it before the news. I had a total of 10000 WC holding in that company and now we have around 1 million WC." I said with a sigh.

"How did you invest this much?" Mom asked in a very serious voice.

"I borrowed the money; I was speculating this company for some time and had a good idea that its price was going to go up but even I was surprised with this much profit." I explained in a calm voice.

"That was risky Leon." She said in a stern voice.

"I know mom, I apologize."

"*sigh* well it is good that everything turned out great."

"Yup, and now you both are also coming with me to the Unity Island." I said with a smile.

"Really brother? You are telling the truth?" Amy became excited hearing my words.

"Leon we cannot do that, it is so expensive there." Mom said.

"No mom you are coming and now we got enough money to live comfortably there, and I need you there to help me with the business I am going to start." I said in a firm voice.

"Business? And you know that I am not awakened so it will be hard for me to be any help there." Mom said with a wry smile pointing out about the discrimination in Unity Island between awakeners and non-awakeners.

"Ah about that here now you can become an awaken." I said with a sheepish smile as I passed her the SSS rank awakeners' potion that I brought from the system.

"This! How did you get this?" mom said in a shock voice as she knew how expensive the potion was.

"I brought it?" I said in an innocent voice.

"Sigh you did not have to do this." said mom understanding my plan.

"Now Now ... we have money mom please enjoy life more now" I said as I stand up.

"Good night mom and congratulation in advance for you awakening." I said with a grin.

I went to my room after that and asked the system to use Mythical lottery card and by the way every card has ten draws.

[Leon these are the thing you won from lottery.] Grace said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I am talking about 'Better luck next time' thing." I said with a twitching eyebrow.

[Oh, yeah Leon it was supposed to be like this, that percentage of getting an item of particular rank was only valid if you get anything, and it is a lottery so there are chances to get nothing. But should be happy to get only three 'Better luck next time'.]

"Hmm, you are right I shouldn't be greedy, and I am quite sure that many of these things are very rare."

"Please inspect these rewards." I said to Grace.

And soon a translucent blue screen appeared in front of me with their details.

> Supreme Comprehension Card: Using this card, the user can comprehend a single technique to its maximum potential, achieving enlightenment and full ability of that technique.

> Primordial Tyrant Aura: Clear all imperfection in hosts postures, it will give host an aloof but domineering aura.

> Heart of Sword: this will allow the user to get an abnormally rare talent which will increase the user's comprehension towards the sword to a level with is only heard of few times since Immemorial Time.

> Unknown Rank Egg (???): An egg with unknown origin it could be a dud with no talent or could be a once in million years talent.]

"Ok that is just bullshit."

"Aren't these all supposed to be impossibly rare items?"

[I told you Leon that it was very unexpected, and you were not supposed to get that thing and clear the first part of that hidden quest.]

"I can see that now, anyway, let's get started." I said in excitement.

I first used the Primordial Tyrant Aura and felt the cracking of my bones and felt my height increase a little. I could see that every stat other charm has increased suddenly and my blond hair became pitch black because of this Primordial Tyrant Aura.

Then I used Eyes of Trinity and just I used them a sudden pain assaulted my eyes, but due to my 'nice' experience in my second life this was not much.

After 30 minutes of pain, I opened my eyes and saw a very beautiful and mystical scene in front of me, different colors of translucent energy were flowing the world like water, even with this many energies it didn't deprecate the beauty of the view. I felt like I was looking at the world from a different perspective. I looked in the mirror and saw my already 5'10 becoming 6'0 and my back eyes now had a red pupil complementing my eyes and and my new black hair giving me a mysterious look.

Satisfied with the result I used Heart of sword.

And then it happened, a rift appeared in space and an ordinary sword shot through the rift and entered my glabella and suddenly I was in front of a sword. A sword so humongous that it was piercing through countless galaxy and just looking at the sword my body started to glow and suddenly countless strings of small appeared from the humongous sword and connected to my body, and suddenly I felt a huge amount of energy in my head and heart, after that without any warning I reappeared in my room.

"Grace!!! What the fuck was that? Did you saw that big ass sword?" I said with shock about what just happened.

[I did not. What happened?] Grace said in a beautiful voice.

"That .... It ... galaxy ... ugh it was a humongous sword that was piercing through countless galaxies." I was unable to describe the scene with words.

[That ... it might be related to Heart of Sword!] Grace exclaimed.

"No shit Sherlock Homes."

"Only thing I know is that it was huge ...." As I was saying this, I got a notification from the system.

[Ding! Host now has a Heart of Sword; Any Sword related Skill and Technique comprehension will increase by 20000%.]

[Ding! Due to host getting the Heart of Sword, the sword mastery is increased to Master.]

"Hmm I expected this."

[Leon I ... I ... think there might just be a chance of us to survive.]

"Survive huh. No Grace lets live life to the fullest, I don't know why but just after coming contact with that sword I suddenly feel light, it is like I suddenly feel it is possible."

"It is like the sword heart is saying that there is no need to worry too much."

[That is not possi ... no way, you got a Sword soul!?] Grace said with shock.

"What is that?"

[According to the information available to me Sword Soul of Heart of Soul is the best sword talent in the universe.] Grace said with mischief as if expecting my surprise.

But all she got was "I don't know why but I expected this."

[You are not surprised?] Grace said in mild surprise.

"No" I said in a calm voice.

[I think it is the Sword Soul, Sword Soul is the purest form of sword energy that develops a consciousness, it develops with the one it fused with. So, I think it is strengthening your will.] Grace said with a thoughtful voice.

"Really? Well, I don't really care." I shrugged.

"Let's see other rewards too" I said with a grin.
