Show of Strength

As the bandits were planning on raiding Vanya Village(MC's village), Alex and his family were currently sleeping soundly not knowing that sometime later bandits will attack.

Alex woke up early again today as he wants to increase his training since he feels like he could do more than yesterday. He does his early morning stretches taught to him by his father to maintain his body's flexibility. He went to the kitchen and saw his mom cooking breakfast. He ran towards his mom and hugged her and said, "Good morning mom."

Maria noticing her cute little angel so energetic in the morning decided to pinch his cheeks and said, "Good morning my cute little angel."

"OW OW IK HERS MAHM" said Alex as his cheeks were being pinched

Maria seeing this stopped pinching his cheeks and said "Okay son, sit on the table as we're going to eat breakfast already. Oh, and call your pops for me please."

Alex nodded and went outside to look for his father. Alex found his father who was doing his exercises in their training ground and called out to him "POPS, MOM IS CALLING US FOR BREAKFAST!"

"Alright son, let me just finish these last few sets and I'll be right there." said Vincent as he is finishing his exercises.

As they were finishing their breakfast Vincent asked his son "Oy Alex, are you ready for today's training?"

"Yeah pops, I'll be breaking my limits today again by doing more sets than yesterday in 5 hours." said a determined Alex

"WAHAHAHAHAHA alright, just make your body stronger and soon I'll be training you in whatever weapons you want. I'll even throw in some assassination techniques if your body can handle it." said Vincent to entice his son to work hard to achieve his dream to become the Pirate King.

"REALLY POPS?!" asked Alex with stars in his eyes

"Of course, your pops wasn't a part of the Pirate King's crew if I couldn't do something as simple as that. I'll have you know I was an important part of the crew as I was an all-around crewmate of the Roger Pirates WAHAHAHAHA" said Vincent with a proud look.

"Woah that's really cool pops!" said Alex wanting to know more about his father's past as a part of the Pirate King's crew

While they were talking a News Coo flies by and drops a newspaper on Vincent's face. Alex seeing this was laughing so hard he fell from his chair when he got back up, he saw his father's sad face asked, "What's wrong pops?"

His father while remaining silent, put down the newspaper and went outside. Alex saw the newspaper headline and was shocked as the headline wrote 'PIRATE KING GOL D. ROGER TO BE EXECUTED AT LOGUETOWN'

Alex seeing his father's sullen expression a while ago went outside to talk to him. He asks his father "Pops are we going to Loguetown to watch his execution next week?"

His father just says "Yes, as he was my captain and we were in life and death battles together, I will surely go there and see my captain for the last time."

Alex hearing this wanted to know what kind of a man the Pirate King was, and he is also thinking that he also wants to have a crew that he treats as his second family. He is already thinking of what kind of a crew he wants. After thinking for a while, he wanted to form a crew of misfits and outcasts those who have been shunned by society and give them a family that they can belong to. With this newfound resolve, his idea of forming his pirate crew, who will shake the balance of the world in the coming years, is born.

After being silent for a while his father tells him to get ready as they would be training today because they would be travelling to Loguetown to witness the Pirate King's execution and the start of the Great Age of Pirates.

After training his son, Vincent was doing his nightly patrols with his squad and son when he heard a scream from the village entrance. "BANDITS! THERE ARE BANDITS ATTACKING THE VILLAGE!"

Vincent hearing this told his squad to check how many there are then told his son to go home and tell his mom to protect the house.

Alex runs towards their house and tells his mom what happened and when Maria heard this, she started hiding all of their money and valuables and barricading the windows and doors. While this was happening, Maria didn't notice that Alex had gone out of the house to search for his father. While searching for his father, Alex was running around the village when he saw 2 bandits trying to force themselves on a teenage girl. Seeing this, Alex quickly ran towards them and pushed the 2 bandits away from the girl and tried to protect her.

"WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING BRAT!" said the mountain bandit

"YOU WILL NOT HURT THIS GIRL OR ELSE-" said Alex while standing in front of the crying girl

"Or else what brat? You can't do anything to us HAHAHAHAHA. You are too weak." said the other mountain bandit while laughing

The bandits didn't want to talk any longer so they about to attack Alex but then they heard

"Attacking kids tch, you lot really are scum." said Vincent who was angry as he saw his son about to be attacked while protecting a defenseless girl.

After that the 2 bandits turned around and saw Vincent holding a gun and a sword. When they saw this, they immediately attacked him but were shocked to see that they've been sliced in half by Vincent and they died while looking shocked.

Alex saw this and was amazed by his father's strength. This event strengthened his resolve to become stronger as the bandit's words cut deep into his heart because if his father didn't arrive, he would be dead, and the girl would've been r****. He wanted none of this to happen so he wanted to get stronger and reach the top fast so that he could prevent these things from happening. After this, he collapsed from the shock and was brought home by his father.

The mountain bandits raid was repelled, without any serious casualties on the village side, but all 57 bandits died in the hands of his father, Vincent, and his squad of highly trained village guards.
