Survival in this world depends on evolution, reincarnated with an insatiable hunger and an overwhelming ambition. Here, talent isn’t inherited, it’s devoured. The Sea Kings, creatures that dominate the seas, will be my prey. Those who wield Devil Fruits, innate physical abilities, and powerful Haki... I will consume them and evolve! What is this beast? Or perhaps, it’s something even more terrifying. Land, sea, and air, nothing escapes its thirst for power. After consuming the strongest man who ever existed, this creature transforms into an unmatched monster, unleashing chaos that threatens to destroy the world’s balance.
"S-sir," he stammered, his voice barely audible over the roar of the nearby battle, "the Sea Kings... they're approaching. What should we do?"
Before the Rear Admiral could respond, the ship lurched violently. Sailors stumbled, grabbing onto anything they could to stay upright.
The Rear Admiral, squinting as he watched the two Sea Kings thrashing in combat, made a split-second decision.
"Change course!" he bellowed, his voice cutting through the chaos. "Get this ship away from those beasts, now!"
As if moving as one, the crew sprang into action. They adjusted the sails, turned the wheel, and manipulated the ship's controls. The vessel began to veer, slowly steering clear of the danger zone.
What Morgan didn't know was that due to his recent actions, the Bos sisters were spared from being captured by slave traders.
At the same time, a slave ship was discovered by the Kuja warriors of Amazon Lily, who killed all the slave traders.
…
Back at sea, Morgan was fully immersed in his battle with the Sea King. Its jaws, now larger and sharper than ever, sank into the flesh of its opponent over and over again. With each bite, with each gulp of blood and meat, Morgan felt the Sea King's life force flow into him.
Morgan's strategy was as simple as it was effective: bleed his enemy dry until it lost all its strength.
And it was working. The Sea King was now moving slower and slower, its attacks weakening with each passing second.
Morgan showed no mercy. Even when the Sea King stopped fighting, he continued to devour it. Massive chunks of flesh disappeared down his throat, and soon, all that remained was a skeleton that slowly sank into the ocean depths.
As he devoured the Sea King, Morgan's own body began to change. At first, it was a tingling sensation, then a burning, and finally, a pain so intense it felt like every cell in his body was being torn apart and reassembled.
Morgan roared in agony, his body writhing in the water. It felt as if he were being flayed alive, as if every bone were breaking and reforming. But in the midst of that torment, a part of his mind remained lucid, focused on a goal he had planned long ago.
With effort, Morgan concentrated his will and activated the lineage they had planned:
Poseidra - Dragon Emperor of the Sea. The moment he made the choice, it felt as if a bolt of lightning struck him. A surge of power coursed through his veins, intensifying the pain of the transformation even more.
The pain was immediate and intense. Morgan felt as though every cell in his body was being torn apart and reassembled.
His body, already reaching 50 meters in length, began to grow at a rapid pace. 60 meters... 70 meters... finally, it stopped at a length of 80 meters.
But the most significant change wasn't in size.
Morgan's serpentine form began to transform. His body, once long and sinuous, became more robust and powerful. The scales, originally a deep black, started to change. A dark blue sheen spread across his skin.
The fins that once adorned his body were replaced by these new scales, giving him a more draconic appearance.
His eyes, once entirely black, underwent a startling metamorphosis. The black receded, giving way to an iris of a deep dark blue.
Morgan's limbs also underwent a transformation. His front legs, once underdeveloped, grew and strengthened, ending in powerful claws.
But the most surprising change was the appearance of a pair of strong hind legs, gradually emerging from the scales on the underside of his body.
These new limbs granted him a stability and mobility on land that he hadn't possessed before, though his true domain remained the sea.
Morgan's head also underwent an impressive transformation. Sharp horns sprouted from his skull. Along his back, a series of spines emerged.
These new additions not only enhanced his offensive capabilities but also gave him an even more intimidating appearance.
As the physical transformation came to an end, Morgan felt an equally profound change in his mind.
A brutal and bloodthirsty desire ignited in his eyes, now a deep dark blue. His consciousness expanded, encompassing not just the sea around him but also a wisdom that seemed to come from the very heart of the ocean.
The aura emanating from Morgan changed drastically. An air of contempt and superiority surrounded him, so palpable that the fish that had approached, attracted by the scent of the Sea King's blood, now fled in terror.
Morgan was no longer just another predator in the vast ocean; he had become the apex predator, the supreme lord of the depths.
Though technically considered a subspecies of dragon, the prestige and dragon power radiating from his body were undeniable.
Morgan moved, testing his new body. Every movement was fluid, powerful, full of lethal grace.
He felt satisfied with the choice he had made. His new body was strong and robust, but not clumsy.
It combined power with agility in a way that seemed perfectly adapted.
With his new form came instinctive knowledge, an ability granted by his lineage: Cerebral Shock.
"Let's see," Morgan thought, his dark blue eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Then, with all his might, he roared.
The sound that emerged from his throat was unlike anything the ocean had ever heard before.
It wasn't just a roar; it was the cry of a sea god reclaiming his dominion over the waters.
The shockwave rippled through the water like an underwater explosion.
A nearby massive reef disintegrated instantly. The force of the roar rivaled that of an underwater earthquake, shaking the tectonic plates of the seabed.
The water around him churned violently, forming whirlpools and chaotic currents.
On the ocean floor, a deep vortex began to form.
Fish of all sizes floated lifeless, their nervous systems overloaded by the power of the Cerebral Shock. Even larger creatures appeared stunned, swimming erratically or sinking, unable to process what had just happened.
Morgan remained still, observing the devastation he had caused. A slight dizziness washed over him, not from physical exertion, but from the realization of the immense power he now possessed.
"Incredible..." he thought. "This... is so destructive."
As he processed what had happened, a transparent screen appeared before his eyes.
[Congratulations! You have successfully evolved into a Sea Dragon. Strive to complete the first stage of evolution as soon as possible. Special rewards await you.]
Morgan blinked, confused. "First stage? You mean this isn't even my final form?"
The thought filled him with excitement. If this was just the beginning, what other powers and transformations awaited him?
"System," Morgan spoke hesitantly, "does this mean I can become infinitely stronger simply by continuing my habit of devouring?"
The answer came swiftly. Another screen appeared, this time with a more detailed message:
[Affirmative. Devouring will allow you to continue growing. When you reach the maximum potential of your current lineage, you will face a breakthrough, known as evolution. Future evolutions will require stronger lineages, which you can obtain by exchanging devouring points or evolution points. For more information and options, please check the system store.]
