Silas froze in front of her with tears streaming from his eyes continuously. He was speechless because he knew that Tabitha wasn't lying and his parents didn't persuade her to say those words to him.

“I know,” he pressed his lips into a thin line, trying so hard to stop himself from crying but his heart was terribly broken.

All these years while he was waiting and yearning for his mate, he never for once thought that she might not love him back.

Silas didn't blame Tabitha for not loving him, he had lived with her and witnessed how kind she was. She was just too broken to let her heart fall in love again.

“Let her go,” Kevin said silently in his head.

“I don't know, I feel miserable. It suddenly feels so uncomfortable to breathe, I…I am sad!” Silas raised his hand and began to scratch the back of his head aggressively.
