Sarafina, present in the room with Tabitha, attempted to capture her attention, but the lady seemed lost in daydreams about Silas, standing by the window to witness his arrival.
“Why is he taking so long?” Tabitha vocalized her thoughts, feeling exhausted from waiting for too long, having been in that position for quite some time.
Upon hearing her, Sarafina replied, “Perhaps if you stop looking, he'd appear in front of you,” she suggested.
“No, I want to see when he arrives,” Tabitha responded, still peering through the window. In doing so, she recalled the night she last saw him, which was three nights ago.
Was it that she dressed prepared because she knew Silas was going to have his way with her?
Oh, well, Silas only had to grab the thin sleeve of her shirt off her shoulders and drag it down as he pushed her back while they were still in the kiss.
