A few weeks had passed since the students begun to train. In the blink of an eye, it was time for the youth tournament. It was a Thursday morning, and the students were already about to leave.
They had been sent to the western area of the school where the plane was prepared to leave. It was obvious the school would have it's own plane. Master Vacto was to escort the students and act as their chaperone. Princess Swallow-heaven had various things she had to do and would arrive later on.
Lenin stood in front of the airplane. He was standing with his family while the other rankers boarded the plane. Brian and Aina had also come to see him off. Of course Aina hardly said anything to him. Lenin was a little bit frustrated by that.
Freda stared at her child with interest in her eyes. She could feel that something in him had changed. It was not a drastic change that was obvious to the eye, rather she could see it due to her years of experience. It seemed like the training her son had gone through had strengthened his mental fortitude.
The reason for this change was probably because Lenin had realized that whether one had god force or not, if he was weak then he was weak.
There was no doubt that during the training, the students had achieved exponential boost in power. No. To be more precise, their fighting style had drastically improved. Since the students from the lower classes had battled the the higher rankers, they were forced to their utmost limits. This had proved true even for Lenin.
Lenin and his other companions had been trained by fatty Chu. Even though the fight was four on one, they could barely make fatty Chu take them seriously. Not even Lanvris could impress fatty Chu. They were simply beaten to a pulp.
To be fair, Lenin did not released any of his god force during their battle nor did Lanvris use his 'Eye of Horus'.
"Lenin..." Freda gently said.
"Mother? What's wrong?" Lenin could hear the worry in his mother's voice as she stared at him tenderly.
She knelt down and begun to caress Lenin's hair.
"Damn it mom. The other rankers are here" he said as he swiped his mother's hand from his head.
"Lenin, are you sure you want to do this? The moment you land in the central plain, there will be no turning back"
Lenin looked into his mother's eyes with confusion on his face. He did not understand what she was saying. Was he not just going to battle in a tournament? Not to mention, it is not like killing was officially allowed in the tournament.
"Take this with you" Freda pulled out a blood red necklace and put it on Lenin's neck.
"Errm... Mom, I think this is for ladies"
"Stupid brat. Are you talking back to your mom!" Freda said with balled fist.
She prepared to smack Lenin.
"Miss Heartfield, it is time for us to take our leave" a voice called out.
It was Master Vacto who had said that.
Freda nodded politely and turned back to Lenin.
"Take care of yourself my baby"
"Sure mom"
Lenin turned to the others. He approached Brian and Trisha who were standing at the front. Aina lingered behind.
"I'll see you around guys"
"Humph! You better bring back a souvenir for me" Trisha said.
"Of course." Lenin said with a laugh.
"Take care of yourself jerk"
"Really Brian? Is that all?" Lenin said with a laugh.
"I have nothing more to say" Brian shrugged.
As Lenin talked with Brian and Trisha. Freda moved towards Aina.
"My dear, are you not going to speak with him"
"I don't think I can talk to him right now" Aina said in a flat tone.
Freda stared at the little girl who was like a daughter to her. She sighed and wrapped her arm around her.
"Aina, I don't know what happened to you two. But knowing my son, it is probably his fault. Even so, things are about to change. If you don't forgive him now, I'm afraid that..."
Freda trailed off.
Aina stared at Freda in suspicion.
"What is it Aunt?"
Freda gave a small laugh.
"Never mind. This isn't something kids should know."
As Freda said this, Lenin approached them. He stared at Aina intently.
"I'm going now"
"I can see that" she responded without a hint of emotions.
"Oh" Lenin said in disappointment.
"Well, I'm off guys. I'll see you when I get back"
Saying this, he made his way towards the airplane. He moved towards the seats of the first years and sat down.
"Really? You are just going to the central plain and your whole family came here? Are you a kid?" Lanvris said with that creepy smile.
Lenin smiled.
"Fuck you too"
Matyr laughed.
"Serves you right."she said to Lanvris.
After Lenin had settled in, he looked around the room properly. The plane was extremely large and luxurious. There were different small sections that divided the plane according to the students. The most luxurious compartment was giving to the fourth years.
There was a buffet, and a large selection of drinks. The couches were well tailored for maximum comfort and the temperature was at an appropriate level.
"Vrr.... Hello... Vrrr"
Master Vacto's voice could be heard through a speaker.
"Vrrr... We are about to leave. It will.... Vrrr.... Take a while so you can rest up"
Lenin sat back and looked out the window as the plane begun to move.
......
In a dark and ominous place, a short figure was walking on a long corridor. This figure seemed to be female. She also had white her and glowing red eyes. No energy force could be felt from her, but her prescence exuded a terrifying aura.
She walked slowly with two gaurds who flanked her on both sides. After a while, she reached a large door made out of dark metal. She gently pushed it open.
Behind the door was a dimly lit room. There were numerous shelves filled with books. In the middle of the room was a large table. An old man was writing something in a book. Even when the door had opened, the old man had still been writing.
"Elder Rave" the short girl said.
The old man stopped writing and raised his head as if he had now noticed the girl.
"Oh? Elder Mailen. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
He said with nonchalance in his voice. He obviously did not care about the prescence of this powerful girl. Maybe it was because he himself was a monster.
The girl's eyes narrowed as a deathly energy pierced the room.
"Don't fuck with me old man. I don't have time for your games!"
The old man smirked.
"Ah! You must be here because of that matter right?" He said teasingly.
"Let us get to it then!"
With a grim expression, Elder Mailen nodded.
