Margaret's POV
"They must have faced a lot of opposition, right?" I asked Jacob...
"Yes." Jacob's face was shrouded in a faint sadness.
Looking at his sad expression, I felt a strange contradiction. On the one hand, I felt relieved that he had lost his parents, but on the other hand, my heart was throbbing with pain because of his grief. This love-hate relationship was causing my head to explode.
"My father firmly rejected the arranged marrage made for him by The Elder Council and his grandfather because of my mother's strong refusal. He chose my mother over everything. He even gave up his position as the heir to the pack for her."
"What happened later?"
