CHAPTER 34 Strange Squirrel
Jacob's POV
After Sarah's actions at the birthday party, I was convinced that she and her father were nothing alike. I had no more doubts in my heart, and I decided to fully accept her and no longer suppress these strange feelings for her.
After the party ended, I released my wolf, we ran like we were wildfire racing through the forest.
We soon arrived at the lake where Mary and I first met. Since our fate began here, let it end here too.
"Ready?" I asked my wolf.
"Yes." He growled.
I looked at the still lake and lay down where I had lain before when I was a child. I looked to the spot where Mary had lain and softly said, "Goodbye."
I spent the night here in wolf form. The next morning, I was awakened by a furry sensation in my arms.
"A squirrel." I transformed back to human form and picked up this bold squirrel.
It was sleepy and even yawned.
"Put me down!"
A clear female voice came from its throat, and it could even speak!
