CHAPTER 25 One Life for Two Million

  Margaret's POV

Seeing the special records hall he built, I couldn't deny that my desire for revenge wavered.

If he could honestly admit his mistakes and work so hard to make amends, I was willing to let go of my personal vendetta for the sake of the future of more low-level werewolves.

But when he hesitated not at all to say he didn't kill innocent people, a sense of desolation overcame me.

I controlled the urge to question him and instead gave him a sarcastic smile.

There were only two explanations for why he could be so unequivocal. Either in his heart, his beloved broken cup was more noble than my parents' lives, so he believed my parents weren't innocent people. Or he had completely forgotten about his cruel murder of my parents.

Although he had turned the Berserk Pack into a pack where everyone was equal, which was my ideal pack, his response just now exposed his inherent arrogance as an Alpha.
