CHAPTER 10 Disappeared

  Margaret's POV

"What's so surprising? This isn't a secret," Jack said, exhaling smoke in frustration.

"He even hid their prisoner identities to protect their so-called rights. It's ridiculous! Prisoners don't have rights. In my opinion, we should just kill them instead of letting them take our job opportunities!"

I glanced at Larry, who was looking down and hiding his emotions with clenched fists.

"If the prisoners' identities were hidden, how did you find out?" I wondered if Jacob hadn't actually hidden the prisoners' identities and was using this novel method to mentally torture them.

"300 dollars," Jack said, blowing smoke in my face with a greedy smile.

I gave him the money without hesitation.

I have Saul to thank for being able to be so extravagant. Although I am a marriage substitute, he gave me property befitting an Alpha's daughter.
