But that didn't matter to me. I kept running until i was sure that the wolves wouldn't follow. I slowed down and finally stopped when i found a place to hide. I sat against a tree and listened to hear if anyone was coming. I didn't hear anything. Not even the sound of breathing. The moon is high enough in the sky that its bright light lit up everything around me. I could hear birds chirping somewhere far away but they seem to be so far away and muffled I can barely hear them. But what i can hear is the sound of my own heartbeat as loud as it can be. My legs were trembling badly. What i am going to do? Where am i going to stay for now? This place doesn't feel safe. 'Where can i go? What should i do??' I thought to myself.
