Chapter 8

Previously

I started making dinner for Christall and myself. I turned on the radio and continued cooking. I was enjoying cooking and the radio so much i didn't hear the front door opening and closing. 'Hey Iris' said Christall. That made me jump out of my shoes. 'You scared me! damnit!' i said almost screaming. She laughed so hard that she needed to sit on a chair. All shaking and crying. 'Ha.Ha. Very funny Christall.' I said bit irritated. She got up and came to me when she calmed down. 'Im sorry bestie.' She said with her puppy eyes, on her knees and hands together as if she is about to pray. 'Forgive me if you mighty queen.' She said that with a bow. 'Okay that made me laugh.' i said it to myself in my thoughts. A soft giggle escaped my mouth. Her face lighten up and jumped up hugging me. We both shared a hug and laughed. '...i smell burned food.' Said Christall. I turned to the food and indeed it was BURNING! 'OH MY GOD! LET ME GO WE NEED TO STOP THE FIRE!' I screamed at her picking up the burning pan through a kitchen towel and ran outside with it. I turned on the water hose after putting the pan on the ground and starting to fill the pan with water.

In no time it filled up. Then, I ran inside and put the pan in the sink, grabbed a bucket and headed back outside. I sprayed the whole pan once the fire was mostly damped down. 'Oh thank god!!' Christall screamed laughing her lungs out. 'Hahahaha, it was really close!' I exclaimed laughing at her reaction. 'How about we order pizza?' Said Chrisall. 'Yeah I'd like that' i answered. 'I'll order now while you clean up your mess' she replied laughing and running upstairs to grab her laptop. 'Okay thanks, bestie.' I said. Then i started to clean up. Soon she came downstairs with her laptop in her hands. 'What pizza flavor do you want?' She asked. 'Pepperoni please' I answered her. 'I will take the Hawaii one' She announced. She ordered the pizzas right when i was done cleaning. I went to her and we both sat down on the couch waiting for the pizzas watching a movie. 25 minutes later the bell rang and Christall went to open the door. She paid for the pizzas in cash. She took the pizzas after paying and closed the door. She walked back to the living room where i was. She gave me my pizza and we started to eat watching the movie. We were giggling throughout the movie.

Soon we finished our pizza. I washed the plates and utensils, then placed them in the drying rack and put them in the cabinet in the kitchen. 'Want some ice cream?' she offered me. 'Sure.' I answered her. She got up and went to the front door. Before she opened the door she put her shoes on and took her purse. 'Mango flavor right?' she asked me. 'Yes please!' i answered excitedly. 'See you soon.' She said before walking out of the door to her car. She went to her car and drove away.

I went back to the couch and sat down. I turned on another movie. But a horror movie this time. I don't watch them normally when she is near because she will get scared and have nightmares. Half into the movie i looked on the clock to see what time it was. 'It's almost 8 in the evening...Where is Christall??' I began to worry about her. I took a look outside and again saw the black wolf. But this time the black wolf was closer this time. I sat there frozen on the couch while the movie was still playing. The wolf suddenly came rushing towards me and stood on the other side of the glass door looking at me intently. I was so scared i wanted to scream but I couldn't. What should I do??? The black wolf tried to open the door but it was locked. I ran upstairs after taking my phone from the small table. I ran to my room and locked the door behind me. I hid under the bed and then i heard the glass break. I texted Christall quickly ''do not come home. Someone just broke in'' I see that she saw the text but didn't reply. I heard someone walking up the stairs. I heard sniffing and paws on the floor. I got scared to i kept hiding under my bed waiting for the intruder to go away. After some time the paws stopped in front of my door scratching it. I didn't say or make any noise. The black wolf kept scratching at my door trying to get in. 'The door won't hold for long.' I thought. I looked at my window from under my bed. 'I can get out through my window' and that is what i did. I rushed out from under my bed to my window. I opened it and climbed out of it.

I fell onto the ground softly. The wolf's paw stopped scratching at the door. It must know that I was out of reach. I stood up from the ground and started running away. The moonlight was shining brightly on me making it hard to see the shadows.

But that didn't matter to me. I kept running until i was sure that the wolves wouldn't follow. I slowed down and finally stopped when i found a place to hide. I sat against a tree and listened to hear if anyone is coming. I didn't hear anything. Not even the sound of breathing. The moon is high enough in the sky that its bright light lit up everything around me. I could hear birds chirping somewhere far away but they seem to be so far away and muffled I can barely hear them. But what i can hear is the sound of my own heartbeat as loud as it can be. My legs were trembling badly. What i am going to do? Where am i going to stay for now? This place doesn't feel safe. 'Where can i go? What should i do??' I thought to myself.
