A day and a half went by and the structure was done. I was the test subject which meant I could die but if I didn't go then I'd be late. I got inside the iron box and the machine was turned off. A cable disconnected and I was now falling with it. I began to panic since it looked like it malfunctioned. I closed my eyes preparing to die but I felt the box begin to fall slower. There was probably a balloon that slowed my fall down. I fell back near the city and people probably saw so I had to get out quick. I got out and there were already people but they were my soldiers. I got out and they looked confused. "What happened?" asked Han.

"I went to the sky and met Apollo" I said walking into my carriage. I changed clothes since the other ones were dirty after working in them for a year. Now we had to go back to the underground kingdom to get new soldiers. Then I'd go to find the eye and then finally invade Thebes.

I took out the book and began reading. "Mati is the eye of evil, uncontrollable by neither man of God. It was made millions of years ago by the three fate wielders and is capable of destroying nations". I didn't care for much of this so I skimmed over it until I reached the answer. "It is, behind Hades' throne inside the well". I closed the book and smiled. I now knew the exact location of the eye and could kill the king of Thebes.

Three weeks went by and we finally reached the underground kingdom. I was given ten thousand soldiers and a bit of money which could supply the soldiers for a while since food was running out. Now I had plans to go to the underworld but the problem was I didn't know how to get there. I'd asked Han but he didn't know which meant he'd never been there. I had to go somewhere else for leads on where the underworld was so I decided to go back to Zagned since it looked like the people there knew about Gods. I realised that I didn't need a country since I only had one last step before invading Thebes which wouldn't take me that long, probably two months.

Another three weeks went by and we reached Zagned once again. We had to wait for a while for everyone to climb over but reached it. We went around the first town and the second one since I didn't want to waste time again. We saw a third one but since it was night, we just stopped. I stayed in my carriage and read on what the Mati had done before being sealed in the underworld eight hundred years ago. It was used by Athens to destroy Thebes during their four hundred year war which left Sparta as a small run down nation with a population similar to a small city in Thebes. Before that, it was used to destroy Syracuse. It was also made from Uranus' left eye which was cut out by Cronos. knowing this made me even happier. If it could do this then I could definitely destroy Thebes with it.

Day came and we set out again for the city. It was relatively similar but instead of suns on the robes, there were battle axes. As I walked through, no one looked at me. It was run down and looked like Sparta before the trades. Achilles told me where the library was. I went in and searched around. "It's not here, I'll ask the librarian what God they worship" said Achilles. He walked over and spoke something I didn't understand then came back. "They worship Kratos and Ares".

"Let's go to the next town then" I said walking out. I felt a tug on my hand and looked down. There was an old man sitting down who said, "D'ya wanna know where the underworld is?". I was confused on how he knew but nodded. "What will you give me in return?" he asked.

"Food, a lot of food" I said. From his ripped clothes and dirty beard. His eyes lit up and he grinned. "It's two miles away, north in a straight line like every other village" he said standing up, "Now, where's my food?".

I bought him whatever he wanted and left the old man alone. While in shopping he told us that he was from the oracle which told him about our journey and he managed to get here in time by crossing the border via train. It didn't really matter but that reminded me that I could've went to the oracle since I hadn't asked it anything before. Well we were already closer to the village which knew how to get to the underworld.
