CHAPTER SIX

Haru

"Tomoki." I said softly as I watched him run away like he had seen a ghost.

Seeing him after all this years brought back memories.

It brought back the effects of everything he did to my mind and body.

I remember the first time I saw him, it was when I had to give a speech during the entrance ceremony for the first years in high school.

He was running late and had caused a lot of trouble with a bunch of alphas.

It was the fact that he was an omega and could stand among alphas like an equal that intrigued me.

I started to make rounds everyday in block B reserved for just omegas and betas just to see his face everyday.

He never looked my direction even once and when he did, his eyes would be on Akio who would excitedly wave back like they were dating or something making me jealous.

I remember drinking a lot in the bar when my parents arranged a marriage between me and Asami plus the whole responsibilities of the company being dumped on my shoulders.

I also remembered walking back to the dorm and smelling something sweet that I couldn't resist.

Then waking up to a very warm scent that kept on popping Tomoki to my mind.

After that day, he stopped coming school.

I couldn't ask around because I didn't want it to be obvious until the day Rin Hanabi walked up to me in the student council and slapped me.

She was really pissed and Akio was the one who managed to calm her down before she left without explaining.

The student council really wanted to get her back for it but I wasn't interested in dealing with her which was a surprise to me.

Apparently Akio too couldn't explain her actions and requested I do nothing to her.

It had been almost three months before Yuki came back to school.

He seemed tired, thin, pale and weak that I just wanted to stretch my hand and comfort him till he was better.

After school that day when I decided to talk to him, I watched as he passed out in front of his class.

I remember Hanabi hitting my hand and threatening me before Akio and her took him away.

That was the last time I saw him before I heard that he pulled out from school from Akio and moved far away.

I searched for him for the few five months but I didn't get any information on him so I gave up.

After I graduated, I married Asami but we were both ambitious and never really lived as a couple, just two people who were bonded by a paper and forced to live in the same house not bed.

"Mr Aizawa, I apologize if a customer..." One of the workers said before I raised my hand.

"No need." I said before I walked into the company's office.

This was one of the many branches I owned and managed.

It was a good way to have keep contact with my classmates who owned restaurants.

I also used it as an excuse to have Akio come by once in a while since he understood me a lot or at least would tell me if he heard anything from Tomoki.

I picked up my phone and started to look through my contacts. I dialed the number before I waited for it to connect.

"What can I do for you Mr Aizawa?" Dectective Kosuda asked before I tapped the table with lightly.

"I need you to run an investigation on someone." I said before he hummed and then I heard papers.

"Who might that be?"

"An omega, Yuki Tomoki. He probably would be twenty two years old and he ordered something from my company. I will fax you an invoice of the details, just get me everything on him as soon as possible." I explained before he responded and cut the call.

Yuki Tomoki. Why did you avoid me today?

"Hey." Asami said as she stretched her body comfortably on the couch and kept her eyes to the TV.

"Thought you'd be with your friends."

"Yeah but our parents are coming over for dinner and as you can see I'm not ready for them to start butting into our marriage." Asami said as she took a lazy posture on the couch.

"We have to sleep with each other in the room tonight because knowing your mother, she won't be happy when she finds out that we live individual lives." Asami added before she stood up and placed her hand on my shoulder before walking up the stairs of our palace.

Dinner with our parents was going slow. The silence and the tension that flowed in the table disturbed me but I had grown used to it because my family could never be a regular family only profit makers.

"So Haru I trust that you and Asami are planning on giving us a grandchild soon." My mom started as she gently cleaned her mouth then stared at me.

"We are still young so there's more than enough time mother." I responded with slight hostility before glaring back at her.

"You've been married for seven years and your talking about time. Is there anything you're not telling us? Are any of you infertile?" Mom pressured before Asami banged the table.

"I don't care how we're all related but it doesn't give you any right to butt in our marriage. We married each other based on your order now let us control how and when we do things in our marriage. If we want a child then we'll make one, I still have a modelling contract I'm not ready to give up to completely settle down." Asami spoke her mind making everyone except me gasp.

"Asami!" Her mom shouted before she faced her.

"No mother! Mrs Aizawa has no right however to question us. If we have a crack, we'll fix it ourselves. Excuse me." She said before she walked away confidently.

That was one quality about Asami I loved. If she wanted something done, she would get it done herself.

She hated being told what to do and the fact she obeyed one didn't mean she would let anyone think they are at advantage.

"Control your wife." Mom said before I laughed.

"I like her better like this. When you're done please leave." I said before I stood up and followed her into the house.

After I was told that my pissed as hell parents and in-laws were gone, I entered my study and went to my computer.

I checked and saw a mail from detective Kosuda before I clicked on it.

Yuki Tomoki. It told me a lot of his family members from his parents to his siblings.

Unfortunately, his parents were recorded as deceased six years ago, a year after he pulled out from school.

No records of ever graduating high school but he had a certificate that proved he graduated from catering school a few years back.

I read a lot of information about him but the one that caught my attention was a hospital record from seven years ago.

Yuki had a child? Was that the reason he dropped out?

His status doesn't even mention married, divorced or widower.

Nothing makes any sense unless he was dating an alpha then.

Could it possibly be Akio's child?

I read a lot about his son.

His name was Takato Tomoki, six years old and lived with just Yuki. Apparently he goes to an elementary school in town.

There's not much record on him and in his birth certificate, the space for name of child's father was blank.

What are you hiding Yuki Tomoki?

I decided to make my own investigation by coming to Yuki's café. It was closed even though it was past its opening hours.

"Excuse but can you tell me why this café is closed?" I asked a female beta who pulled her hair behind her head and gave me a flirty smile.

"Yeah, the owner and most of their workers are omegas. They usually close down the shop when the owner is in heat but we're expecting it open by next week." She explained before I nodded and faced the large building, smelling a very faint but familiar heat.

"Can you tell me anything about the owner?"

"Who are you to him?" She asked before I rolled my eyes mentally.

"Are you going to answer me or not?" I asked before she gulped when I started releasing pheromones.

"Well I don't know much but I heard he was a slut when he was in high school that's why his unmated and has an illegitimate child. They say his very weird and likes to avoid people as much as he can. He also hates being touched by people his not accepting towards. For an omega he likes a lot of attention because I've only seen him with alphas and a beta outside his employees. No one really likes him or his kid but who knows telling him, he might poison us." She narrated as I clinched my fist tightly on how someone would ever think of Yuki like that.

Yuki was a very stubborn, playful and sweet omega. Just because he was too kind that didn't give people any right to slender his name.

"Get out of my sight! If I ever find out you people hurt Yuki, then I'll bulldoze your homes and make your lives miserable." I threatened before she scampered away on fear.

I looked at Yuki's house. It was on top of his café but because of his heat, I couldn't visit him so I decided to leave.

I guess I'll just have to wait for the right time.
