"Butler, I would like to keep this with you," he tossed the stone towards the butler, who struggled a bit to catch it but ultimately did. He took a deep breath for he was enraged that young master would treat something so precious like this. The butler knew about the stone from his studies about the Edevane family and he knew how hard they were to come by.
"B-But young master…," he wanted to protest. He had a desperate expression. What if the duke called him and the young master was not at home? How would he reply to the grand master then?
