82. Bad Girl Gone Worse

We had just left the fortune teller's shop when Jerry's call comes through on my phone. Sammy is clinging hard to one of my legs. He has been doing so ever since he woke up. I think that whatever he saw that made him scream is still frightening him.

"I need to take this, hunnie. Can you go to your daddy?"

"No, mommy. I wanna stay with you," Sammy whines in reply.

Without further argument, I pick up the call, allowing him to hold on tighter, while I try to make out what Jerry is saying on the phone.

"Baby girl, where are you?"

"At some voodoo shop downtown."

"A voodoo shop? What the hell are you doing there?"

I begin telling him about Sammy's nightmares, but he cuts me off right before I can finish.

"Y-you have a son?"

My gaze goes down to Sammy's head, "Errmm, would that also be a problem?"

"How do you have a son, baby girl?"
