I have forgotten how awfully boring an opening ceremony is.
This is like a wake-up call.
Grand openings are like the very worst function anyone could ever attend.
If I wasn't built so differently, I would have died of boredom long ago.
Amidst flashing cameras, I did the ribbon-cutting ritual before I gave my speech and took some of the guests on a tour of the winery and wine cellars.
Now it's official.
And I'm also getting tired of greeting and welcoming business partners and board members since we arrived.
Mother and the others were just seated at a place, looking so uninterested and lost.
I guess I'm not the only one bored out of my fucking mind.
Mother doesn't really attend functions. Right from when father was still alive, she hardly left the house. Though father's business partners knew her, she hardly went to any functions.
She was always in the background.
