They say curiosity killed the cat.
But in this case, curiosity will either put the poor kitten in trouble or get it killed for being too nosy.
Last night was somewhat unexpected. I never imagined that Genevieve would catch me off guard like that.
She threw me an unpleasant and distasteful surprise, with a little bit of shock.
And I hated it. I heavily detest surprises—specifically that kind of surprise.
She sounded and looked like she knew one or two things about Daddy dearest. Her questions were all subtly pointing at him and his great deeds. I'm pretty sure she heard something or talked to someone to make her do what she did.
She's getting fearless.
I really dislike people bringing up the past, especially when I'm not in the mood to talk about it, which never happens because I seldom speak about Federico, and I talk even less with Genevieve.
I hated seeing that look on her face.
That look of pity.
