Chapter Thirty
Carson leapt across building after building, looking for any sign of Sarah. He had searched Felix's guard barracks just in case she had been caught but found no sign of her there. Not that he thought Felix would do anything to Sarah.
Between the four-guard captains, Carson liked Felix the best out of them. If Captain Darius found her, he was confident that he could dissuade him from prosecuting her. He was the kind of guy who hated being bothered with anything that would give him any extra work. Now, if Captain Triston found her well, one less Captain wouldn't be so bad. Actually, Carson was almost certain that people would congratulate him for offing that menace to society.
