Chapter 5

When she reached home , she saw Amar 's Peugeot infront of the house meaning that he's already in the house .

She opened the door which is the entrance to the small house which has no gate . She prayed inwardly that Hanifa is no more in the house , she doesn't want an extra headache apart from the one she already has .

Fortunately for her , Hanifa is not in so she quickly made her way to her room not wanting to meet Amar or Basira .

The first thought that came to her head was to check herself in the mirror, but she quickly dismissed the thought not wanting to see how skinny she has became .

Mariam laid on her bed not knowing what to do again . Ahmad has given her a day off so she's free today .

She just hope this 'a day off ' She has been given is not a way of reducing her salary that Ahmad probably enjoys doing .

She carried her diary and updated it , being bored , she decided to go and watch in the parlor as that's the only place in the has television.

She got out of her room and walked to the parlor, Mariam sat down on the same brown couch she sat on during her conversation with Hanifa.

She on the television which took some minutes before coming on . The GOTV logo comes up and she smiled seeing the 'live it love it ' .

Mariam was watching when she felt a sink on the couch , she turned her head to find Amar'a face staring at her . She shrugged and continued watching and that's when the worst happened.
