Childhood days [Part-7]

(Author's note: For anyone new reading this then please keep in mind that the next few chapters are completely optional to read. I have seen some people say that the childhood days of the mc are quite long but I have no intention to shorten them as I feel that they'll give her future relationships with characters more emotion and volume. If you wish to get on with the plot then you may skip the chapters.)

Heading to school, she met with Naruto on the way there. They both decided to walk together to school, when Veronica saw Hinata being bullied by some kids. Naruto and Veronica of course went up to help.

'Why were they even bullying the heiress to the Hyuuga clan? Don't they know better than to do that? Maybe it's just because it gives them a false sense of superiority. Or perhaps it was just the way they were raised.'

<Don't cry, it's alright now, see? Naruto and I chased them away!>-Veronica

"M-mhm..."-Hinata

Hinata had held her hand quiet tightly, which made Veronica remember that Hinata was already practicing her clan's techniques from the pain.

<Wanna head to school together?>-Veronica

"O-ok...!"-Hinata

The way to school turned out to be more awkward than Veronica had expected. Hinata was too shy and Naruto was just super hyper. Veronica had to make sure Hinata didn't get too nervous or Naruto didn't get worried that he scared her. She always was the one making sure Naruto didn't get Hinata to faint and also made sure that Hinata was always included in the conversation.

'*Sigh* This is why I liked being alone... Then again, I guess it'll be fun teasing these two in the future. Wait, what if my interference here caused Naruhina to not sail...?

Just have to force them to get married then.

Thanks inner voice that's a great idea.'

She once again ignored the fact that she had no idea what this inner voice was. She would ignore the problem till it goes away.

They reached school and she saw Hinata always looking up to Naruto with admiration in her eyes. Naruto always ignored or glared back at the person who would glare at him. He didn't let anyone get the best of him. Veronica smiled at that, she knew just how much Naruto would impact everyone around him, and seeing it in person made her feel proud for some reason.

"Pssst" <Hey Naruto, wanna do some pranks today?>

"Of course!"-Naruto

Naruto's loud voice got the attention of their teacher who had an irk mark on his forehead as the chalk in his hand broke.

"Naruto and Veronica!!! Did you hear what I just said?!"-Iruka

<Nope~! But you already taught us this in the last class so I don't need to listen again!!!>

"Well I wonder who's fault is it that I'm teaching this again!"-Iruka

<Who's?>

Everybody who saw her response laughed a bit. She saw the girls giving her a supportive smirk and she gave one right back at them.

"Naruto's and yours!!! Ugh, I can't be bothered with this right now..."-Iruka

She noticed that even Sasuke had a small smirk on his face and felt a bit proud that she was able to strip off his Uchiha face.

'Then why bother yourself with it in the first place~?

He'll probably end up shouting more if I said that. Better stay quiet for now. I think I'll invite Naruto for dinner today. I can't be just staying over almost the whole day at Naruto's place to have him eat and drink properly. I better start teaching him how to cook and clean. Especially those 'things' under his bed. Just thinking about that makes me shudder.

Then again, it would be a lot easier if these villagers could just accept Naruto and at least let him purchase food. Whatever, I'll just ask Kaka-san to buy more food for Naruto. Although we can't really be dependent on him most of the time. The prices are starting to get higher for things and taking care of two kids meals and my own school supplies may take a toll in the whole budget. Who am I kidding though? He's got enough funds from the ANBU to last a lifetime. But maybe I should start being a bit independent. Although I really do like things as they are now, there may come a time when I can't depend on him anymore.

I can't really make anything like ninja tools or some seals and stuff to sell in market right now. If I could them I wouldn't have to worry at all since those things can get me a lot of money.'

Veronica decided to think of this after she was done with school today. She hung out with Shino and Kiba for a bit before going off with Naruto.

The duo went and painted on the walls of many houses of the village. Although Veronica made sure that Naruto didn't just splashed paint all over the houses and made some sort of designs. Veronica had painted rainbow poops and all kinds of food on the houses while Naruto made Ramen and different colors and sizes of poops all over.

<It looks amazing!!!>

"Yea! C'mon let's go before someone catches us."-Naruto

<Ok! Let's hide in the academy then!!!>

"Sure!"-Naruto

A normal day passed by as the two made some new friends [Two street dogs] and became known for their pranks.

Veronica threatened to tell Shikamaru's mother that he barely talks, or does anything, and even some other lies which she made up, in the academy which ultimately made him get the two out of trouble. He muttered something among the lines of 'troublesome woman...' before going off to watch some clouds along with Choji.

This time though she went along with them after making sure Naruto was with Shino and Kiba and wasn't alone. She specifically told Shino to watch over him since a lot of people couldn't seem to think of him as human and Kiba would just call her out or tease her for worrying so much, which she normally wouldn't have minded but she needed to catch up with Shikamaru and Choji.

As much as she liked the others, Shino and Shikamaru allowed her to relax around them. She didn't need to worry about them nor did she need to do anything with them. They could just relax together without having a need to speak, or write in her case.

She chuckled a bit at her thoughts while Choji and Shikamaru sent her a curious look. She just shrugged and didn't bother to explain.

'I feel like a mother worrying about her child with Naruto sometimes. Or maybe its just that I don't want him to be alone the way I was.

I wonder when the Hokage will stop stalking me through his magic sphere though. I always have to make sure that I behave 'normally' because of him and not say anything that would make him suspicious.'

In the end Veronica and Shikamaru ended up playing shogi while Choji was eating his snacks. Choji went home soon after and the other two just sat down looking at the clouds again.
