Death Knell III

"The black heart company?" Alex said, he was flustered by the amount of people that where their it wasn't that much there where three girls then there was Leo, he had bisque skin with some Freckles his hair was of a faint blonde with some black mixed in with it his eyes were ruby blue. he wore a gray wind breaker he stood tall in the conner of the room.

"Yep, know if you don't mind the boss would like to see you, after that I will interduce you to everyone ok" Leo said he winked at Alex he was put off by that he then followed him to the boss's office.

'Why is this so tense ... is he mad that I trapped him in that bubble?' Leo added inwardly.

"Hey ...sorry for doing that to you ..." their walk were silent.

"Huf ... I'm not mad at you ok " Alex added.

'it's like Hes a dog or something what the hell is wrong with this guy perhaps Hes fatherless? wait I'm also fatherless" Alex added inwardly the two walked down a row of stairs they were white in color with some black the walls were brick, and the railing was made of iron.

"Why is your boss on such a low level?"

"Huh?... oh, you mean why Hes in the basement ... yeah, don't ask me he likes it here I think I've tried to ask him multiple time but no answer, so I came up with the answer that he liked it down here " once Leo stopped speaking, they were at the boss's door to his office.

Leo knocked on the door a deep voice answered "come in" the two looked at each other, Alex took the first step to walk in, the office was large there was a couch in the corner near a bookshelf there was a large mirror in the middle of the room the boss's desk was at the end of the office there were piles of file stacked on top one another till it almost reached the ceiling.

"Who are you?" the boss asked Leo walked to the desk of the boss then whispered in his ear.

" Oh, so you wish to join us, it's a good thing to have more people here " the boss looked at Leo with a strange look Leo realized what that meant before he left, he walked up to Alex then said "good luck" in a low voice.

'Why do I feel so scared, I've seen a dead body that was way scarier than this' Alex added inwardly.

"I've read up on your file and I found that you have yet to get your core awakened, so today I will awaken " the boss said he had a faint smile on Hes's face.

'so todays the day I die ... at least I get to leave this crazy world ' Alex added inwardly the boss snapped Hes fingers a flame appeared in his hand it glowed a bright blue he used the flame to light a candle that was next to him the light in this room was very dim the flame that the boss had light turned the whole room up in light Alex could now clearly see the bosses looks he had fair black hair with Emarald green eyes with a sharp nose bridge Hes lips were half full he also had a well-built frame he wore a black tuxedo.

"Before we start my name is Bragi Frey Garnier nice to have you kid " Bragi smiled at Alex then he led Alex to the middle of the room there was a mat on the floor.

" What are we gonna do? " Alex asked, 'is he gonna offer me to an evil being or something? 'Alex added inwardly some hair strands were in Hes's face so he lifted it to Hes's ear.

" Are you gonna ditch the wig? it looks good on you, but that thing must be burning your head up" Bragi said.

'He knew I had a wig on. I spent so long trying to make this thing look real what the hell.'

"Yeah .... how long did you know I had a wig on?"

"Since you got here, now wanna awaken your core?" Bragi said he had a goofy grin on His face then a mustache appeared on His face.

"Sure, but how di-"

"No more questions let's start lay down "Bragi opened Alexs's shirt he placed Hes left hand over Alexs's chest he curled them into a fist his hand glowed a faint yellow he then started speaking in a weird language that Alex didn't understand after he finished, he punched a hole through Alexs's chest, Alexs eyes rolled to the back of his head.

Bragi hand turned a faint blue he was sending ether to Alexs's core.

"AHHH... w-where the hell am i ...wait did that old guy just kill me?" Alex stumped his left foot in anger at the ground, the place he was in light up, it was filled with different core of different colors one was an ice blue while the other was of an aqua blue " so the colors represent an element?'' Alex said.

he saw a Crismon red core then a blood red core he didn't want to touch any of them because these skills didn't seem to fit his style of powers he would want.

he kept walking then he saw a green core "I wonder what element this is " Alex said to himself he rubbed his chin then thought over his choices.

-the blood red core can manipulate blood but doing that is not my style it could be useful but there are other choices to choose from

-ice blue core I like it, but I will just control ice ... also how would i use this to protect myself ... I could create ice spikes ...nah I'm going to choose something different.

-aqua blue core.... hell, the f#*k no

-green core. I don't know what power this one has it might be dangerous to choose this on

Alex then had a break " what if I do Divinization to find the answer."

" It's dangerous to choose the green one" Alex said this 7 times the answer that came was negative he did this for the other they came back positive meaning that even if he wanted to choose aqua, he couldn't.

"Looks like I have no choice but to choose green... this shit sucks ... I mean I did shit on the others a little bit but come on!!!" Alex hived a sigh then walked over to the green core he touched it the place Infront of him disappeared he was now in the office of Bragi.

"How was it?" Bragi asked he still had that goofy grin on his face ' this guy is starting to piss me off.'

"It was ... to be honest I don't even know I'm just confused on what just happened " Alex said, Bragi broke into a fit of laughter he held his stomach for 2 minutes.

"So. so what you just did was chose a pathway that is available to your core, each core is built up on a different rule from the others like there code so not everyone can use the same power the same way, there are also levels to the form of your core they are called rings."

"Rings?" Alex was still on the floor he didn't have the energy to stand.

" Yep, every core has rings but if yours just awoken then you would have zero rings, your core can only have ten rings any higher and that is just a death wish" Bragi said, while he was talking, he walked to his desk then placed on a pair of glasses.

"Why can there only be ten and how does one gain more rings?"

"Nice question we gain rings by absorbing ether but not the amount that everyone does to gain a ring, you would have to absorb large amounts of ether into your core do that wrong and you die, the reason there can only be ten because going above that is dangerous "Bragi said he took off the glasses then helped Alex to the couch.

" I don't recommend using your core for the next three days or else you will get sprit poisoning and trust me you don't want to get sprit poisoning it Drans your ether until there's nothing left then it drains your life force then you die. "

" Thanks for the information ..."

"You won't start to work yet until the three-day period is over so after your done resting on my couch go home" Bragin chuckled then rubbed Alexs's head before he could react to that he had fell asleep.

"You poor soul" Bragi said under His breath his face grew sad before he knew it, he started to cry.
