Practice Fight

A day after he woke up. Noah found himself in a room called the Training Room, which was divided into two. One room is an empty white place with gridlines that glowed faint neon-sky blue.

The other room was a place called the Operating Room, where Doctor Wilson and his sister Mel was observing.

Today, Noah is being tested to uncover his Activated Power.

As Doctor Wilson said yesterday. Noah has a Transform Solid-Type Activated, which is quite common for people who reawakens.

Transform Type has two sub-types: Solidification and Liquification.

Solidification is the reinforcement of the body through the manipulation of solid matter. It can be turned to harden the skin or turning your whole body into something like a beast form.

Liquification is a rare type of Transformation. Like the name, it turns the body into something that passes through, like making your body made out of water or wind, for example.

The difference between Solidification and Liquification is that Liquification is basically invulnerable without the use of excessive mana. Meaning, no matter how you hit it, it will just pass through like cutting running water with a scissor.

"Are you ready, Noah?"

"Yeah."

The Doctor spoke through a microphone that was transferred to a speaker that was on the corner of Noah's room. Doctor William pressed something on the operating room for the entrance door to open in Noah's room.

Earlier, Doctor William said that real combat is what brings out the full potential of an Activated Human's power. Although Mel did not agree, Noah convinced him that it will be okay, which Mel just agreed out of his brother's request.

A man that was wearing an army camouflage uniform appeared with a big smile on his face. He has that fierce brown eyes that have a brown, more-like scar on both bottoms of his eyes. He has red short-mohawk like he was some delinquent in some school.

"Are ya ready, kid?"

"..."

Noah did not answer back. He was nervous and he was in a fighting position. Noah radiated that aura, something about him was telling the soldier Noah was experienced in fighting.

"Ohhh?"

Noah's opponent was amused. Earlier, he was just relaxed, with his left-arm dangling on his waist. Right now, he changed into a fighting position. He acknowledged Noah's strength and he knew if he underestimates him, he might get seriously injured.

"The practice fight will begin in 3..."

"Fight!"

The moment Doctor William shouted "Fight", the soldier just sprinted towards Noah.

Noah did not react fast enough as the guy was so fast, he appeared in front of Noah in the blink of an eye. As any human being would do, Noah blocked his face with his arms crossed in front of his head.

The soldier's eyes were wide and it was full of excitement. He was smiling like he was enjoying the fight.

The soldier pulled back his arm and launched it through Noah's defense head. It hit Noah's arm and launched him through the end of the room.

Noah thought he died. His back got hit by the wall with an acceleration of that throwing a baseball, yet, he was fine. Although there was blood on his mouth, he just wiped it off, like it wasn't the first time injuring himself.

Noah has to think of something and he needs to think of something fast, or else the soldier's speed would be the end of him.

"Think..."

Noah's mind was on fire, it was panicking like an alarm when a fire breaks out. He needs to think, or another one or two of that attack can surely knock him out.

"Oyy, move your body, not your mind."

Overthinking, the soldier was already in front of him. Noah's eyes widened as he has no time to guard once again. Noah's face got hit by a speeding fist, launching him across the room once more.

This time, the soldier got a critical hit. A punch that fatal on an unguarded face can kill a normal human being, but Noah wasn't normal anymore. He stood up with his heads down. He spat some blood from his mouth and went into a fighting position once more.

"You're..."

The soldier muttered as he disappeared once again, only to appear in front of Noah.

"Dead—"

The soldier grinned like a maniac as he pulled out a punch. Yet, the next thing he noticed...

He was turning 180 degrees. He didn't know what happened as everything just happened instantly.

"Ehh?..."

He fell down with his front facing the ceiling as he was still stunned and he didn't know what just happened, everything was so fast... much faster than him.

"Doc, did I win?"

Noah just stood there as he asked the Doctor.

Even Doctor Wilson was stunned that the response was seconds of delay. Noah just looked at the ground as he was touching his head.

"Y-yes, you win."

"Holy damn, you were strong right there!"

The soldier jumped from his back as he commended Noah with a big grin on his face.

"Oh yeah, my name is Kevin Heart."

"Noah Ramez"

Noah said his name back as Doctor Wilson and Mel entered the room. Mel ran towards his brother as she checked for wounds or anything that can prove fatal to Noah's body.

"Are you okay, are you not here anywhere?"

"No, I'm just fine Mel."

Noah patted Mel's head as she graciously accepted the holy patting. She blushed as Noah just smiled back at his sister's cheerful face.

The Doctor interrupted as he was holding a tablet with the fight's footage.

"I still don't get how you did that."

The doctor asked as the fight's footage didn't even show how Noah knocked out Kevin with a single move.

"Oh..."

Noah muttered as he just pointed at his head as Kevin jumped out of his back.

"I'm still not even sure but I think my power is here."

He said as Doctor Wilson, Kevin, and even Mel did not get what Noah meant. Noah was bad at explaining things, so he answered back again.

"Time turned slow-motion in my eyes."
