Amber was sleeping on Mason’s shoulder as the car drove past the gate of a huge mansion that was decorated with fine gold. The garage was huge, with one of Amber’s cars in the garage. The driver parked the car beside her car, the car making a screeching sound as it stopped.
Mason stared at her face in the front mirror and lifted his hand, using it to firmly caress her face. "Wake up, my lovely wife; we are home." He said in a coaxing tone, that made Amber slowly open her beautiful eyes. The word "My wife." Still ringing in her ear, it was sweet and pleasant, and she wanted to hear him say it one more time.
"What did you just say? I didn’t hear you." She muttered. He smirked, looking at her with a hint of desire in his eyes.
"Nice try, I know what you are trying to do." He remarked as the driver opened the door at her side of the car. She looked down, frowning.
"Come on, just say it one more time." She begged, grabbing his right arm.
"Stop it, you are not a child anymore." He said and pinched her cheek in a playful way before making his way out of the car. She stepped out of the car and ran to him on the other side.
"Just say it. I promise I won’t bother you anymore." She muttered. He pulled her to him with his hand around her waist and her breasts pressing against his chest.
"I won’t say it until you please me." He said, grinning. She frowned and pushed him away, stomping to the entrance of the house. She couldn’t help but gasp.
The house was extremely big and had a huge balcony at the top that looked like a castle. She pushed open the huge, engraved doors of the house and her jaw dropped at the sight. The house was dripping in gold, and the silver chandelier hanging from the ceiling lit up the living room. A floral scent entered her nostrils. Mason stepped into the house with his shoes clacking against the marble floor. He extended his hand to her; she gave him her hand, subconsciously walking into the house with him with her mouth wide open.
"Wow!!" she said, with her mouth wide open.
"Will you stop admiring the house and look at me instead?" He complained. She was still scanning the house with her eyes, looking at the beautiful sofa and furniture in the living room.
"You must have spent a lot of money on this house. Why did you buy such an expensive house?" she inquired.
"Come on, I have been working all my life. What will I use the money for if not this?" He said, grabbing her hand. She had a worried look on her face. He gave her hand a soft squeeze.
"But it’s too…" he cut in.
"Expensive right? We are both expensive. I want us to live like royalty," he remarked. "What’s the use of having money if you can’t spend it?" he inquired.
"You have a point there, but I think this is too much…" She said, stroking her chin. She was thinking of selling her house.
"What’s on your mind?" he asked. She looked up at him.
"Um, I was thinking if I should sell my house." She said, he smiled, he appreciated her honesty.
"Don’t worry about that. You can rent it out for now, and when our kids come of age, they will have something to inherit." He spoke. She flashed a smile at him.
"You are a sweet talker; you have a way with words…I will do as you say." She said and pulled her hand from his grip, walking in the direction of the marble stairs.
"Uh, where is my room?" she inquired. He moved closer to her and put his hand around her shoulder.
"You mean our room?" he asked and grasped her, leading her up the stairs with him.
He took her to an ornate door that had two flower rose vases at the side. "This is our room." He said and pushed the door open. Amber battled her lashes as they stepped into the room. It felt like they had entered another world.
The dimly lit room was decorated with rose flowers. There was a rose flower on the master size bed that spelled the word. "Will you marry me?" her brow furrowed she was confused, she was about to speak when he went down on his knees, revealing a beautiful diamond ring, that looked like the one he gave her some years ago.
"This is…" he cut in.
"The ring, your brother told you he sold." He said she was overwhelmed with joy; the ring brought both happy and sad memories; she couldn’t help but shed a little tear.
"Come on, say yes to me. I am still kneeling." He whined.
"Oh, sorry," she said, extending her ring finger to him, showing that she still had the ring Xavier gave her.
"Will you marry me?" he asked as his green eyes sparkled.
"Yes! Yes! I will." She said, he slowly pulled out the ring Xavier gave her from her slender fingers and slid his ring into her finger.
