Surprised with the attitude back, I was lippy with her first, so I deserved it and ignored it. Looking at her directly I just asked, "If all do not go well for me to make it next week then what will happen"?

Without Hesitation, she responded "those who are not asked to the Ceremony are given options for the path they may lead with in the family".

"Meaning there are two paths that all have if not accepted. One is they have a chance to be in the family as long they support the Blood of the family. Before you ask; the Blood are the higher ranking family members that have passed the ceremony."

She pointed to a door "shall we rather be in a more comfortable setting than the hallway." I nodded and followed her into a dull tan room. The two of us walked in alone as the others were told to wait by PM communication for what I was guessing. The room had two chairs and a couch with some tables. Nothing elaborate but the furniture was old but in great condition.

Gesturing to a chair for me to sit waiting, she waited for me to take my seat. Placing herself in the seat across from me. Her black dress opened high on her thigh when she crossed her legs exposing more of her legs knowing I was watching. Trying to pretend not to pay attention to my wandering eyes she continued.

"Then there is the second option, those who are not given the opportunity to join or be a part of the Blood family in a sense of the term. They go back to their lives but with connections to family businesses that will help them succeed in their everyday life back in the Outer world. They also asked to care for the Blood family if the time comes for their unique talents to help if needed and to a certain degree the Blood family returns the favor."

"Then there is the structure of the Blood families." "That will be taught after you decide to go through the ceremony.

"If invited!" Saying that she looked at me keenly to see what my expression was.

I pondered what she just said. I could see she was waiting for a reaction. I had figured that something would happen as the new week approached, but this Ceremony was still something I did not understand. "What is the Ceremony?" "Is it a sacrifice?" "Blood drinking of an animal?" Questions started popping up in my head with no reason of sanity. So I asked the one question I genuinely wanted to know. "Since you seem to be one of the true leaders of the Blood Family by your posture and the name, of course," I said with a small and nerves smile. Before she could even answer any of my questions.

"I am to guess that I am going to be given the opportunity to be in the Ceremony?" She would have never told me this if it were not the case. What is the Ceremony?

Nancy leaned back in her chair the dress raised further up her shapely long legs I only barely noticed this time.
