New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

That Weapon?

Inside a room where weapons are not properly arranged on the ground, two people are present.

One person was sitting down as he listened to the other one, who is currently standing while explaining some various things.

"—And that's the brief things you should know about the two," Hans paused, "Now, I just have to show you how it's done. So, which one would you want to know first?"

"I'll choose the first one then we'll proceed to the second." Gin answered quickly, "It's good, right."

Hans nodded, "I think you choose a good one, kid."

After saying so, he began to smile. The thing is, it was a wicked one.

"..."

Looking at the smile that is far different from a happy thing, Gin was baffled by it. The next thing he saw was Hans stretching and knuckling his hand which made him more confused.

"Uh...What are you doing?" Gin asked suspiciously.

Hans instantly stops his stretch before saying, "Uh, showing you what you come are here for of course. Teach you how to do hand-to-hand combat kid, so prepare yourself."

"I know that but... the way you stretch his hands looks dangerous. It looks like you're preparing to beat someone up." Gin retorts as he slowly steps back, little by little.

Hans drew a surprised expression on his face upon hearing the answer, before answering, "For a moment, I could tell you that you're right on one thing and wrong on the other."

Hans paused, "You're correct in saying that I would beat someone but also wrong... as that someone was available inside here."

"..."

Gin started to search for that special someone by roaming his eyes inside, but he could clearly see that only two are there. He and Hans.

At that moment, one answer appeared inside his mind.

'Does the teaching in this world are always different?' Gin thought inwardly.

If you could see a red flag in front, your mind would surely work its very best to help you find an answer.

'This guy is not even joking!' Gin shouted inwardly as he saw how serious he is, making him stand up in his place, began to try reasoning with him.

"Oy, you gotta be shitting me. This is not teaching anymore. And, I'm still a newbie for goodness sake—"

Bam!

A punch was thrown, interrupting Gin from continuing.

It was a strong one but thanks to the masks' durability, he only received a slight injury but a crack could be seen was seen on its side.

Hans waved the hand he had used before scoffing, "Newbie my ass."

He paused, "You're the one who helped Colton, right? I know it and am grateful for it, but this time and that time are different so remove your mask Gin. I will teach you in my way."

Gin frowned strongly, hearing the secret he was trying to hide by telling it to Colton. It made him annoyed as he remember how reliable Colton's face is.

'That bastard is spilling beans everywhere...! That guy... I thought he was the type of guy who is silent...'

The trust he had built on Colton greatly decreased. Just a bit more and his opinion about him would turn into a distrusted person.

With a scratch on his head, Gin moved his hand on his mask to remove it. Revealing his face, he carefully put his mask down, not wanting another crack on it.

Hans stopped from walking and commented, "Well, what a waste of face. Anyway, I think you have a reason for that. So, did you learn something from me?"

Gin frowns, "But, you didn't even teach me anything."

Hans agreed by nodding his head as a sign, but his words were contradictory to his actions, "Ever heard that if you experience it, you'll learn it?"

'No shit, I never heard that thing. You just made it up just now...' Gin mused inwardly as he position himself in a fighting stance.

'No shit. I never once heard it. You just made it up now...' Gin said inwardly as he position himself in a fighting stance.

"Prepare to be beaten up!" Hans shouted one last time before he started to sprint forward with an evil smile on his face.

In the same place, two men are sitting ground while they pant heavily.

One was taking a few breaths as he was out of stamina while the other was the same but the difference is, he had black marks on his face.

Gin didn't know why he deserve this kind of treatment from Hans but he all accepts it. It's just that, it would probably hurt him much. Physically hurt.

When they were fighting, it is visible on Hans's face that he was not teaching Gin.

He was intending on beating him up.

Rubbing one big mark on his face, Gin asked, "Are you mad at me or something? Just say it."

Hans looked at him weirdly before taking a long pant, "No, I'm not mad at you. I just felt like doing it."

'Isn't that worse?' Gin mused inwardly and scratches his head in annoyance, hearing another nonsense from Hans.

Hans stand up as he watched Gin before saying, "Stand up too. I will be teaching you the second one. But first, pick a weapon you want."

Seeing that it was time for the other lesson, Gin stood up from his place, not wanting to cause more conflict between them.

He leisurely walked towards the weapon area before he began to search for a suitable weapon he could use.

A couple of minutes had passed, Gin was left with nothing as the weapons on the ground weren't really what he wanted.

It made him slightly bored, resulting in him chatting a bit with his instructor, "Hey Hans. What do you think no one is entering this class?"

Hans glanced back while forming a slight frown, "That's an instructor for you, student Gin."

He let out a sigh first from his mouth before he continued, "I think it is related to one's occupation on their status window. It gives us roles of what to find. Jobs that you, me, and everyone wanted to focus on."

He paused, "My occupation is related to archery but it doesn't mean that everyone had to only focus on that aspect. An example of that is me. I learned here and wanted to teach them about how this class works, but I think they misunderstand that this wasn't available as this was closed yesterday."

'Hmm...'

Gin just shrugged it off before he proceed to focus his attention on finding a weapon. He keeps looking for who knows when, until he finally caught something with his eyes.

It was a long metallic, rusty metal that is being covered by the other weapon.

Gin had his interest piqued on seeing it but he decided to ask his instructor first, saying, "Hey, Han-Kuhum, excuse me. Instructor, is this an available weapon?"

Hans stopped cleaning the bow on his hand after he was called, before glancing half of his head at what was Gin pointing with his finger.

He thought it was a sword weapon that he had chosen but when he picks the weapon he was interested in, it wasn't the sword he was choosing but a thing that was underneath it.

"You sure have a unique taste." Hans gives his honest opinion, "For a moment, that thing is not a weapon. Hell, how can you even deal damage to your enemies? Much more than a fatal one. Since I'm a good instructor, I advise you to change into another one."

Hans showed his disagreement by shaking his head before he began to return on cleaning his bow but stop once he heard the sound of metal being pulled out by a bunch of weapons, leading him to look back.

It was Gin pulling the rusty metal out, making Hans think that he was playing but he could see him doing his best to pull it hard as it was stuck.

After some time doing so, Hans formed a questioning face and asked, "Are you sure? I'm telling you once again that it is not a weapon."

Gin smiled as he waved the thing he was currently holding, "I don't know but there is one thing for sure. I feel like using it."

Hans was in doubt at first before finally giving up as Gin seems to be liking the weapon.

Chains.

The chain was five-meter long and it was made of metal. Rusty and a bit old probably due to the people not using it.

Hans stands from his place before asking in a serious tone. "For the last time, are you sure that will be your weapon? If it's a yes, then I think I can't teach you about using it though."

Gin shook his head and answered, "You don't need to. I'll look for someone who could teach me or if not, I'll be the one to learn it myself. You can just teach me the first one while on the second, use all weapons here to fight this weapon I had."

"Alright." Hans nodded his head, seeing that he wouldn't change his mind, "Just remember to not be killed using that weapon."

"Hahaha… thank you for the on-point advice. You really hate me much, huh." Gin answered with an awkward laugh.

'For a moment, I was worried for you there,' Hans continued inwardly as he wouldn't let his very thought be out of his mind.

"So, here's what we're doing." Hans paused, "We'll do the first one before we take a break. it only after the break that we'll be doing the second. After those two, I'll go to the archer class right away. Is that good?"

Although it was far from the afternoon, Gin nodded unhesitantly which made Hans also do the same gesture, as he watch him analyze his weapon.

Hans also decided to gaze at his weapon before he suggested, "Hey, Gin. What if you add something on the edge, like a sickle? It's just my opinion and I think it will be good."

Gin stopped playing with his weapon after he heard Hans's suggestion, moving his head to look at him with a surprised expression, "Wow, are you receiving a lot of brain cells today, instructor? You sure have a lot of things to say. You know, like what a normal teacher should be doing."

Hans knew he was insulted, turning around to look at Gin with a death glare, "What did you say?! You wanna be beaten up again?!"

"..."

Gin smiled faintly, seeing that his provocation worked, knowing that he could only practice his weapon if Hans was serious.

"You..."

It's just that, the face Hans is making was an expression of an intent to kill.

Entirely different from beating someone up.

A large and long bed was placed in a warm and cozy room, but it wasn't the same when it was talking about the mood.

"Did you watch carefully the archer class?" A man's deep voice could be heard speaking from his subordinate.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I entered last time and saw many guys, but there is this one guy that is good at using a bow. Should I get that man to you?" A guard on his back answered with a respectful tone.

"No need. We will continue watching the man your eyes had pique interest too." The man said, fully trusting his subordinate.

Hearing it, the guard on the side asked, "I don't know what's going on but why do we need to find an archer? Did something happen? I was on a dungeon when the tutorial ended."

The man picked up a bottle on his side before drinking down in one go, emptying it all with his hand to wipe his lips.

He then answered in a shaky voice, "They ordered to find a man using a bow. They didn't even give any clues of who the fuck it was. But one thing is for sure. That archer was the one who helped that bastard swordsman. They failed on capturing the rookies."

He paused, "And their anger... they directed it onto me."

The guard stiffened hearing it before he answered the man with also the same tone, "T-then we better find who it was. That's the only way to...compensate the help that we received from them."

"Yeah. Anyway, is the test are the same or it was different? Well, even if it's the same or different, we'll just find a way to kidnap him."

"About that... it is still not decided but the plan is the same..." The guard paused, "finding the guy."

"That's good…" The King was in relief hearing it before getting the bottle on a circular table but failed to do, as it had fallen on the ground due to his shaking hand.

The king looked at his shaking hands as it couldn't be stopped at the moment.

"I'll do it, Your Majesty." The guard paused while getting a broomstick on his side before he continued, "Should I bring some women to you?"

The king calms down a bit before answering, "Y-yes, please. And you too. The dungeon has probably taken a toll on your body. You should take a break and also get some."

The guard was happy about it and answered excitedly, "Thank you, your majesty! Don't worry, I'll be sure to give you good ones!"

The guard swiftly cleans the room before leaving the room.

On the other hand, Gin walked towards the door of the class with bruises on his face, which is now being covered by his mask.

At that moment, he realized that he was only being bullied.
