The large crowd walked for a few minutes until they reached a community hall-styled building.
"In the case that expeditions or events are ever organized, you will be expected to gather in this building for attendance," the headmistress explained before she walked past the structure.
As the crowd continued walking, they passed large houses and small apartment-style buildings.
"The top 10 students will be able to choose one of the large houses to live in. The remaining 190 students will live in the dorm buildings. Some of the buildings are designated for females or males only, while the rest are mixed," Headmistress Evergreen stated seriously.
When the headmistress said this, the students scattered throughout the crowd started a heated discussion as it didn't sound fair.
"If you think it isn't fair, study harder and train longer. In this world, nothing is free, and the weak live under the strong. The only way to get what you want is to work for it," the headmistress said with an emotionless face.
"Hahaha, how nostalgic. She said those very words to the students of my year as well!" John said as he looked at the arguing students with a reminiscent expression.
"Alright, Althea ranked first on the exams, so she can choose whatever house she wants. After that, the second-place student can choose, followed by the third-place student, and so on. The students not in the top 10 can choose any available dorm. Go on, choose your homes," the headmistress said, looking at all the students before her gaze landed on Thea.
Most of the students quickly scrambled to choose their dorms, while the top 10 and some other curious students, including Reina and Reisa, stayed behind.
The headmistress then walked over to the center of the group before turning to Thea again.
"The size and style of the houses are roughly the same, but the interior varies greatly. Some have larger kitchens, and others have larger halls for small parties. In the end, it depends on personal preference," the headmistress explained.
"Is there one with a large bedroom?" Thea abruptly asked.
"...There is..." the headmistress hesitantly answered while raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
"I'll take that one then, since I can choose first," Thea quickly said with an innocent smile.
"But I haven't even shown you the building yet," the headmistress said.
"That's okay. Could you just point me in the direction?" Thea sweetly asked.
"...That way," the headmistress pointed to a certain direction before sighing.
"Thank you," Thea said before leading Mia in that very direction. Lily smiled apologetically yet mockingly at the headmistress before following her daughter.
"If you girls want, you can live with me as well," Thea whispered to the twins as she passed them.
The twins blushed but quickly followed after Thea. John followed his daughters, unaware of what they had found out at the arena earlier, leaving the king and the rest of the group behind.
Thea could hear some whispers about how rude she was, but she couldn't care any less about it.
As Thea's small group walked toward the direction the headmistress had pointed, they passed some trees and walked next to a small lake/pond before arriving at a large house that almost looked like a small estate.
The house they arrived at had an L-shaped structure. There was a wing on the left side, while in the center of the building, there was the entrance right in the middle. Some vines were growing on the walls, and the building was surrounded by a patch of green grass.
"It's isolated, apparently has a large bedroom, and looks cozy... perfect!" Thea thought as she stepped inside.
I have attached a picture of the house/manor on the paragraph... If the link isn't shown the picture probably isn't either xD, please let me know then, otherwise enjoy!
