~Chapter 13~

Cleo' PoV

Life became pretty normal, we have our own house now. As promised, the Alpha King delivered our things at home. Sometimes the Elders pay us an unannounced visit. I still work as the Alpha King's secretary, though I work at home. Most of the time either his Beta or Gamma hands over the paperworks in the morning that is needed to be reviewed and organize. I usually finish it before lunch, so I tried asking him through a letter if I can get a part time job.

At first he thought that I needed extra money, but I explained to him that I want to experience those kinds of things. I'm just glad that he approved it.

However, since the day I was able to talk to my wolf and use my ability, freely. There's something that is bothering me. First, was the antsy feeling I get from my wolf spirit when I'm near the Alpha King. Then there's also the bright yellow color I saw on the Alpha King's soul. I don't know which emotion is it. Its new to me. The things I've mostly seen and familiar with are, dark hues color. It represents the negative emotions of each individual. Still it depends on ones personality, their colors vary. So the person who has an insight about soul, should be knowledgeable in regards to actions or gesture. Just simply looking at their soul's color, doesn't completely explain how they feel or what are their intentions. I'm still at the first stage of my ability. I don't have any idea what comes next to it.

Usually after lunch, I go to Kirael's school. I work as a gardener in there. Sometimes I also help at the school's cafeteria.

"So this is your part time job?"

I look to know who it was and I was surprise to see the Alpha King.

"Yeah, I wanted to plant flowers and trees." I answered in a timid manner.

"Was it fun?" He continued asking.

"It is fun." I smiled

"That's good to know. The only important thing is that you're having fun Cleo." The Alpha King encouragingly said.

"Alpha King, can I ask you a question?" I considerately asked.

"Sure, ask me anything." He reassured.

"Why is your soul bright yellow when you talk to me and Kirael?"

Surprise to what I've ask. He blankly stare at me. I nervously sigh and explained to him the situation. I told him that, I was now able to communicate with my wolf and feel its emotions. Then I can now see through ones soul, whenever I want to. Also, I've told him my conclusion on why I get the antsy feeling from my wolf when I'm around him and his soul glints bright yellow.

"I don't want to assume things Alpha King. Are you perhaps my mate?" I asked him straight on point.

What's more surprising is he hid his blushing face using his hands. Then I guess, my conclusion was right.

I tried grasping his hands to see his face, but he ran away from me. What kind of Alpha runs away from his mate? Shouldn't an Alpha act possesively? From what I've heard, when Alphas met their mates, they're being forceful, obssesive, and at some point they also lock their mates, so none can see them.

Yet this Alpha dared to run away from me. All I wanted to do was talk to him. I never intended to bully him.

When I finished my job, I asked Julia if she can take care of Kirael for a moment, because I need to talk to the Alpha King. I went to his office, but he was not there. I go this house and he was not there as well.

Next morning I tried going to his office to get the paperworks I needed to review and organized, however I was blocked by Mark, his Beta. Mark gave me all the paperworks and asked me to go home.

It was on repeat for about two weeks. I go to his office or house. But wherever I go, he's not there. To be honest, I don't know until when will I look for him. I think it would be best to stop here. If this is what he wants. I won't look for him.

My son and I went to shopping for the first time. There are lots of people in the sidewalk. Most were from different packs, who came here for the meeting. The meeting is about the upcoming war. The Elders believe that a war is about break and we needed to gather troops to protect everyone. Of course some Alphas were hesitant to join at first, but the Alpha King clearly discuss the matter. I never would have thought that our Blood could resurrect the Rogue King. After that information was revealed, the Alpha King assigned us many guards.

The Rogue King was the original owner of Red Wolf Spirit. According to the legends, he was a powerful spirit wolf who leads an army. He was the right hand of the Moon Goddess. Not until he desired the Goddess position. When the Moon Goddess learned that the Red wolf spirit is plotting a coup d'etat. She killed all the followers of the Red wolf spirit, and because she was gracious to her former subordinate. She let it live and bond to the humans she entrusted wolves spirit with.

However her graciousness, resulted in this. I'm not mad or anything at the Goddess' decision, but in our kind, its inevitable to kill. Even if their the people or spirit you've been with. If they become corrupt, one must uproot it.

Its also probably what the Alpha King thinks about us beings mates. We both know that his position will be questioned since I'm already used by someone, and it resulted to me having a son from that bastard. Kirael would be in much danger if we become mates and I also don't want that to happen. So before our bond blossomed, the seed must be uprooted from its ground and be forgotten.

While we were shopping, I suddenly heard the White Witch's voice out of nowhere. Then a pack warrior, told me that I am being called at the assembly. I instantly go to the assembly, as requested by the White Witch. I was guided by Elder Nicholas into the room. There I saw the Elders, wolves, vampires and Hunters, all in one room. Some people look at me with prying eyes, some were arguing at something. I don't intend to listen or know their business so I approach the White witch who called me into their Assembly.

"All right everyone, sit down and stop talking." Elder Seth advised the crowd.

The White witch handed me a blank paper, telling me it was a message from Eclipse Pack. She told me that it was sent to the Blue Waters Pack, since their Luna was an elementalist and originated from Eclipse pack. They send the letter to them.

"I sincerely offer my greetings to Lord Theron." The Luna of Blue Waters greeted me.

"Please don't. I may bear the name Theron, but Im not an Alpha, nor from Eclipse Pack." I said, dimissing her and she nodded, understanding what I mean. I'm not someone who she should bow down to.

"We believe that you might be able to read the letter that the Eclipse Pack sent." Her husband said.

"Probably, but I think I would need an elementalist to help me." I explained to them.

"My wife is an elementalist, so please let her help in anyway." The Alpha of Blue Waters quickly replied.

"Thank you for the offer Alpha, but don't you think that your wife needed to rest?" I politely respond.

"We're not that tired of travelling and we would also like to help in this matter." He explained.

From what I saw, it seems that both of them are not aware of the child growing inside the Luna's womb.

"It appears that you do not know Alpha. Your wife bears a child, so it would be much better for her to rest."

When I told them about the news, they were surprised. They even thanked me for letting them know that they're having a child.

Going back to the letter that we needed to decrypt, since there is no elementalist available. I asked for the White Witch and Elder Helio's help. Being that they both are close to nature and are now lesser gods. They could be a proxy to an elementalist.
