Someone I hate
Ivo got up into the elevator feeling like a man on the way to the gallows. What the hell could Davi want to talk with him about in the space of a couple of hours, that was so serious it required a trip to the rooftop?
Of course, Ivo had an anxiety driven rumble in his stomach about just what it could be, but he didn't want to indulge his worst fears.
Davi would know something was up the moment he saw him looking white as a sheet and shaking like a leaf.
He stood for a few minutes outside the elevator trying to collect his thoughts. Maybe Vital had called Davi in the meantime, and the next gig was very dangerous and Davi wanted to tell him to sit it out?
Maybe he'd talked with his comrades and they'd decided it wasn't a good time for Ivo to join the meetings and he wanted to let him down easy.
That was the best case scenario, but somehow Ivo didn't quite manage to fool himself into believing it.
