Her Nicest Guide

Nicki almost dropped dead the moment Hanna told her she was going to be punished directly by the Alpha himself, not by her nor Astrid, who seems to be enjoying this sad moment for her as the silly smile on her face said it all. 

"But…" Nicki couldn't accept the fact that she would be punished by the Alpha and wanted to protest about it.

"No buts, Nicki. You took the blame so you got to receive all the punishment alone although I would have loved for the both of you to go through it" Hanna made Nicki realize she couldn't take back her words once they had been spoken out.

"And you Ariana Gomez" Hanna shifted her attention to Ariana standing frozen, watching what was happening, and forgot she had training this morning." What are you still doing here? Training is about to start in a couple of few minutes and you haven't even gotten out of your pajamas" 

"Oh…right" Ariana shook her head and her senses returned immediately. She reluctantly moved and hesitated for a bit, confused about whether to join Nicki so they would both receive the punishment from the Alpha together as the besties they are now. 

However, when Nicki turned and gave her a signal not to try it, Ariana frowned and sluggishly went ahead to prepare for training. 

"I'm sorry" She murmured under her breath at Nicki, who read her lips and nodded to let her know it was okay. This was none of their faults so no one should feel bad or blame themselves for it.

"Okay, let's go" Nicki's mood swiftly changed back to a lit one when Ariana was no longer in sight and it surprisingly shocked her guides who expected her to have kept that sour mood since no one knows what the Alpha will keep in mind as punishment for her. 

Then suddenly something hit Hanna and she excused herself, taking Astrid along with her.

"Look I'm sorry that I was a b*tch to you earlier but you see what I'm talking about? One minute, she pretended to be scared of the Alpha, and all of a sudden, she didn't look scared anymore. Why?, Because she strongly knows the Alpha wouldn't do anything to her. He wouldn't agree to punish her and just let this slide"

Astrid couldn't allow Hanna to speak first and she was already sputtering another uncertain accusation that the Alpha wasn't going to agree to let Nicki undergo punishment. Which, Hanna knew was coming from her accusations that the Alpha has a thing for their student. 

"Astrid, that's not the issue now, keep that aside" However, as Hanna would always do whenever she brings up accusations against the Alpha, she waved it aside again and let Astrid know they were actually the ones in trouble here, not Nicki.

"Look, we can't report this to the Alpha, he must not know about this"

"Why? What are you talking about? Why can't we let the Alpha know this? This is our only shot at making you believe I was right along about the Alpha having a thing for her" Astrid wasn't that quite of a sharp thinker like Hanna, since her unnecessary jealousy for Nicki clouded some things she had to know. 

"Look, the Alpha asked a favor from us yesterday which we agreed to. He put us in her care and if we let him know this. The first thing he's going to ask is what we were doing. He's going to want to know where we were when she sneaked away from her room and slept here. So we definitely can't let him know about this, not ever" 

Hanna pointed out and Astrid first groaned before letting out a laugh that was more than obvious, she wasn't laughing because what Hanna said to her was funny. But because she was highly provoked that she had no idea how to demonstrate it.

"So what now? We are just going to pretend nothing happened and let this slip off like this?" She asked with gritted teeth and grabbed her hair in annoyance.

"Yeah, I don't see any other option to this that we can go with. If we let the Alpha know about this, you know what would happen to us. It won't only make him disappointed in us, but he's not going to want to ask for favors from us again and you know where that leaves us. We won't be at the top of the most professional guides around here" 

Hanna dropped so many reasonable points as to why they can't and should never let the Alpha know about what happened today but Astrid didn't want to agree to it. Believing, there must be a way out of this without it complicating the both of them in the end.

"You are right, Hanna. But there's certainly no way I'm not going to let the Alpha know about this. If we let this go, think about what could then happen tomorrow. She could decide to throw a party and we won't agree to let the Alpha know. Why?, Because she's a stupid responsibility that we ought to take care of ?" 

Astrid pointed to the stupid responsibility that was Nicki and their eyes mistakenly crossed paths from the little distance they were from each other and they quickly broke the awkward eye contact, with Nicki hoping it doesn't ever happen again. Astrid's eyes are a one-way ticket to giving someone a heart attack without warning.

"She can't throw a party here because this time our eyes will be strictly fixed on her, Astrid. This time we are going to know her every move. But for this one, let's just agree to let it go. Okay?" Hanna sighed in disappointment. She thought she would be able to convince Astrid with the few important points she made to her, however, Astrid was becoming a jerk.

"How sure are you that she's not going to do that next, Hanna? She only got here yesterday and is already breaking the rules. Especially the one rule not to stay out of your room once it's ten pm"

"Seriously, Astrid? Why are you making a big deal out of this?" Hanna was pissed at Astrid for making this turn into a big deal for them when she has already found an agreeable solution to it. 

"I don't want to say this again but this is the first time I've seen you let something that's not even worth it get under your skin. And I'm not going to argue with you on this so if you want to let the Alpha know about it. Then go ahead, but just know I'm changing partners. I'll start working with Karen and see how that turns out for you" With this statement, Hanna walks out on Astrid and takes Nicki along with her.

"Follow me" She ordered, walking past Nicki, who stole a glance from Astrid and obeyed the order. From the looks of it, her guides apparently seem to be fighting over her and she wanted to know what the matter was from Hanna to really know if she was the cause of it.

But she couldn't ask, not with Hanna having a very sour look on her face. So, Nicki kept her trap shut since now didn't look like the best time for her to ask any questions. She would ask later when Hanna would appear to be in a happy mood. As for her other guide Astrid, Nicki knew there was absolutely no way she could ask her anything and she would politely let her know it.

So, she would just stick with Hanna for now, her nicest guide ever.
