Chapter 2 Shen Chi Yan

The person named Ah Yan soon came out from inside. Ah Yan's full name Shen Chi Yan. He is 17 years old this year.

Shen Ziyi found Shen Chi Yan within a month of coming to Luhu village.

On that day she had gone to the city for some work, it was almost evening by the time she returned. The village's roads were surrounded by dense trees and hills on both sides, causing darkness to quickly set in during the evening. Since Shen Ziyi's phone battery was almost dead, she walked without turning on the flashlight.

In such dark surroundings, she stumbled into something . That thing was soft, Shen Ziyi suspected it might be someone. But the person wasn't making any noise.

After turning on the light, she saw an injured and unconscious boy. Realizing the critical condition, she knew immediate medical attention was necessary to save the person's life.

In the village, there is a small clinic, but the situation is dire. The doctors there won't be able to do anything; instead, they will advise taking the boy to the city hospital. However, on the way to the city, the boy will go into a coma due to severe blood loss.

The boy appeared quite young. Since she know medicine and there was no other options, Shen Ziyi decided to bring him home.

After the boy regained consciousness and somewhat recovered, Shen Ziyi learned that his step father did this to him and had abandoned him in such a state.

Shen Ziyi investigate a little bit and found out that the boy was telling the truth.

Since then, Shen Ziyi has been taking care of him, giving him the name of her own brother.

"We going to Aunt Lee's house tomorrow?" Shen Chi Yan asked when handing over the pruner to Shen Ziyi.

"Hmm," Shen Ziyi nodded as she bent down to pick up vegetables. Shen Chi-Yan also crouched down to help with the vegetables.

At this age, he is quite tall, around 180 cm. Smooth fair skin, a head full thick hair, long limbs—Shen Chi-Yan is a very handsome young man.

When he first came here, he was very delicate and thin, almost like a bamboo. Shen Ziyi had initially thought that in a strong wind , he could easily be blown away.

Now, Shen Chi-Yan is very healthy. He has developed muscles also , thanks to daily exercise.

The yard at Shen Ziyi's house is quite grand, and Shen has organized it well. She has planted a lot of variety of vegetables, spices, and some herbs in the entire yard. Almost nothing related to veggie and spices they need to buy from market.

Shen Ziyi's house is very large with two floors. The upper floor has several empty rooms and some used as study and office rooms. Shen Ziyi and Shen Chi Yan lives on the lower floor, and there's even a practice room for Chi Yan.

While she may offer some advice, the ultimate decisions are his. As his guardian, she will support him both openly and secretly ,ensuring his well-being. So he can choose whatever he want to do in future.

The siblings, after freshening up, gather in the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Shen is skilled in cooking, while Chi Yan know some basic. Even if Shen Chi Yan doesn't know everything, he's always present to help her.

Preparing breakfast together takes their little time and efforts with the help of each other.

Their breakfast is very simple, consists of steamed buns filled with vegetables and congee with stir-fried greens.

Shen, while eating, asks, ''When will you return to school?''

''After this weekly break,'' Chi Yuan replies.

''I'll come with you. Focus on your entrance exams now. Time is limited. Also, give me a list of things you need; I'll tell Tang Xiao to buy them. Drink enough water and exercise everyday .''

''Okay.'', the little guy answered quite well.

''I have some work. I'm going upstairs. Call me if you need anything.''

''Alright, brother,'' Shen Chi Yan responds, nodding.

Shen Ziyi told him that he works online but doesn't have a proper job. However, Shen Chi Yan knows that his brother also does something significant other than online job. But he never asks because he knows he won't get a clear answer.

His brother is a very calm and cold person. He doesn't like to laugh, and when he does, it's always for politeness. Shen Chi Yan has never seen his brother genuinely laugh during his time here.

Meanwhile, Shen Ziyi has gone upstairs, and Shen Chi Yan lightly cleans the dining table and goes outside.

They plan to go to baby's full moon banquet tomorrow. Wondering if they need to buy some gifts.
