Story of a former best friend

After entering the gate, the members of the Relic research/expedition team had been separated to 6 areas in a cave system that Kaneki thinks leads to Akuma Castle.

And now currently Kaneki and Yuuka are together walking through the cave and hoping to get to Akuma Castle. And also

Yuuka: So what gave you the idea to make these suits?

Their both talking about the suits.

Kaneki: I wouldn't be lying but it was purely the Tokusatsu show Knight rider: Creator.

Yuuka: really? I know you like Tokusatsu show's but liking it so much that gave you inspiration to make these suits is insane.

Kaneki: you got that right, you should know my first suit was honestly kinda didn't work but I kept on going until it worked.

Yuuka: I see, did you fail?

Kaneki: many time, like many many manyy~ times, but I kept on going.

Yuuka: that's right it's just like studying, even if you fail you can still learn more.

Kaneki: unless you're Sachi, because she is seriously an idiot.

Yuuka: yeah but she does try her best although she doesn't look interested.

Meanwhile*

Sachi: Achoo! ARGGGHHH!

Chikao: hmm? What's the matter?

Sachi: Kaneki and Yuuka are talking about me!

Back to Kaneki and Yuuka*

Kaneki: yeah. Oh yeah, my first suit actually has a name.

Yuuka couldn't help but ask.

Yuuka: really? What is its name?

Kaneki responded with a soft voice.

Kaneki: Yume.

Yuuka: Yume? Why that?

Kaneki: well... I wouldn't be lying but I actually felt really frustrated when I was making it, I failed so many times I thought of stopping but then Miyu-chan came.

Yuuka's thoughts*

(Huh? Me? What does he mean?)

Flashback*

It was around the last year of grade school I wanted to make it so badly because I could probably use it to get more power... But bec of so many failures I felt sad.

Kaneki: dammit, I failed again this is so frustrating.

Due to my sadness I actually started failing test as well it was so many too and if I couldn't improve I would have been played back for another year and my friends would had been ahead of me which also made me more sad.

Flashback cut*

(Oh right I remember this, this is when we thought he wasn't paying attention to class so his grades were getting lower)

When exams gotten closer I felt more afraid that I will be left behind and then.

Sachi: hey! What are you doing?! You'll be left behind at this rate!

Shino: is something wrong? You've look sad for a while now.

Kaneki: it's nothing, I'm just getting bad school that's it.

Miku: don't lie to us, we know when you're down c'mon tell us!

My friends confronted me about my sadness, I wasn't really good at hiding it back then so they immediately knew something was wrong.

I didn't really tell them why but then.

Yuuka: hey if you don't get your grades up we'll stop finding Relics for good.

My best friend Miyu-chan came and confronted me too and she even threatened me that our research for new Demon knight relics would stop for good unless I get my grades up.

And that made me talk.

Kaneki: what?! You don't need to do that! Isn't it your dream to find all the relics? Why bother stopping just because I'll be held back another year?!

I was confused at the time why would Miyu-chan do that? Well she told me her reason.

Yuuka: my dream worthless if I can't achieve it with my friends, so if you don't want me to give up on my dream then get your grades up.

Sachi: yeah! You heard her!

Shino: You better get your grades up or I'll scold you a lot.

Miku: yeah! And I won't give Onii-chan pudding again!

I was still confused but I didn't know how to respond to that so I just gave an excuse to them on why they should leave me behind.

Kaneki: I keep on failing, I can't improve I don't know what to do anymore I don't know how I should do things... I don't know anything.

I didn't know what I was saying and non of them understood but Miyu-chan...

Yuuka: I don't get it but. You don't need to feel sad because you fail, it's alright if you fail but don't dwel in those failures instead learn from them and maybe then you can improve.

Those words actually gave me many thoughts and I responded.

Kaneki: I'll try.

And so I did and I was able to get my grades up and also...

Kaneki: alright! It's done! It finally works!

I was able to to create the suits it wasn't perfect and I had many fails but just like what Miyu-chan said "don't dwell in those failures instead learn from them" I kept on working on it and I didn't felt sad anymore.

And when we took our last exam I'm grade school I passed.

Sachi: you did it Kaneki!

Shino: congratulations on graduating, I'm happy you were able to graduate with us.

Miku: you got us worried seriously.

Kaneki: sorry everyone, I caused you guys to worry.

Yuuka: that's another failure in your book of failures.

Kaneki: !!!

Yuuka: but it's alright, just learn from it alright? Now let's find ourselves a relic to bring me closer to my dream!

All 3: let's go!

And so we went on to find a new relic.

Kaneki: and so after we found that relic, I went to upgrade the suit and then I gave it the name "Yume (Dream)" as a tribute to Miyu-chan. The dream I would protect until my best friend achieves it.

Yuuka: Huh?

Kaneki: hmm? Why are you crying?

Yuuka didn't realized it but she was crying after hearing that Kaneki would protect her dream until she achieves it.

Yuuka: ahh, it's nothing I just really liked that story but man you look up to her a lot huh?

Kaneki: of course, she's my best friend and I look up to all my friends a lot.

Yuuka: I see.

(I never knew I helped him a lot during that time, I'm so glad I threatened him that time! Alright! Some more progress was made! I'm closer to fixing my relationship with him!)

Kaneki: well, I guess we can talk about something else right?

Yuuka: Yeah! Ahem~ sorry.

Kaneki: okay? Anyways do you think the Insect Familiars are doing good right now?

Yuuka: now that you mentioned it, I didn't really see them fall with us, do you think they'll somehow reach Akuma Castle?

Kaneki: well, if we don't see them I'll just summon them.

Yuuka: that's a great idea-

Rumble!

Kaneki: WOAH! EARTHQUAKE! BE CAREFUL! AHH!

an earthquake suddenly appeared and disappeared but Kaneki fell.

Kaneki: Ahh, what was the-

Kaneki fell on top of Yuuka and as for his hand.

Yuuka: Kaneki, you're touching me.

His hands were both of Yuuka's breast plates which was flexible so he was able to feel them.

Kaneki then jumped and repeatedly bow his head and apologize.

Kaneki: I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

Yuuka then got up.

Yuuka: it's alright, it was an accident plus, i would be fine if you're the one who does it.

Kaneki then short circuited.

In Kaneki's mind*

Shitsuren: why did you tell her about Yume?!

Kozo: you fool you made her cry! I won't forgive you!

Quan: you shouldn't be telling that to her, she might feel bad and that would cause her problems!

Tomo: I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

The 4 personalities are Kaneki are fighting once again.

???: this looks interesting hehehe~

Back in Reality*

Yuuka: why is my breast plate even flexible in the first place?

Kaneki: to make it comfortable I made it strong yet flexible.

Yuuka: oh I see...

Yuuka felt so embarrassed.

Yuuka: anyways! Let's keep on going!

Kaneki: let's go!

They then started walking again.

Batta: that sure was interesting right guy?

Ku-kun: Wata.

Yanma: Manya.

Heike: ike.

Mo-chan: Moth.

Miracle: miracle.

Batta and the insect familiars were actually with Kaneki and Yuuka, but they were hiding just to watch both of them.

Batta: alright let's keep watching by a far.

The insect familiars continued to follow them.

Meanwhile in the sky*

Dagon: dang it! There's too many of them!

???: kill that beast knight! We can't allow it to interfere with our plans to get the vessel!

Dagon: in that case! I'll go to Kaneki myself!

Dagon flew high and went through the hole to the gate.

???: sir should we-

???: don't. Continue our plan turn the troops to beast and get the vessel.

???: what about that beast knight?

???: it's weakened, without a Demon knight around their nothing more than normal creatures.

???: yessir! Plan shall be proceed!

Just what are these people up to and what is Dagon doing here as well?

Dagon: dammit! They found Kaneki again! I can't let him relive that trauma I must protect him!
