Natasha jumped into her uncle's arms for an embrace which took the man off guard and nearly stumbled backwards had he not adjusted his body in time. He still had his eyes on Reaper.
He felt unease with the man who had accompanied his niece. He was too good-looking to be real. The moment he looked into those bewitching golden orbs he felt like the man was looking at his soul. The thought itself sounded bizarre but that was exactly how he felt. He felt like the man before him was the perfect definition of danger.....
Perfect in every way you look at it while slowly killing you without your knowledge until it is too late.
"Uncle Nicholas," Natasha called, drawing his attention away from Reaper. He had almost forgotten about his niece because of a man.
"Natasha!" Called her name hugging her back. "I... I thought you were gone." Nicholas said in a whisper. "I am glad that the news we received was false," Nicholas said and led them inside the house. Offering a seat to them both, he sat across them. "I am Nicholas Young." He said extending his hand to Reaper.
For a moment Natasha got nervous, especially after remembering the conversation that she had with Reaper inside the car. She wanted to intervene but she did not know what she should say, so she just sat quietly and watched as Reaper extended his hand to hold Nicholas' hand. "Malcolm Blade," he said before withdrawing his hand back to his side.
Natasha looked wide-eyed at the creature that just introduced himself to her uncle look he was a normal human being. Why did he not introduce himself like that to her? She questioned in her mind. Even if it was a lie, he should have at least to her how to address him in public.
Nicholas nodded his head dropping his hand to his side as well and looked at his niece who had a sullen expression on her face. "what brings you here, Natasha? That too with a stranger. Is he your new bodyguard?"
Natasha's face looked grim at the question. One about her what brought her and the other reason being what Reaper's reaction to being called a bodyguard would be. She gave a glance at him and saw his face as blank as ever and breaths in relief, he was not angry.
Natasha closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "They are gone, Uncle Nicholas, he killed them," Natasha informed him. She said every word with anger evident in her voice.
Nicholas froze after what he heard them say, he needed no further elaboration to whom she was referring. Nigel had called him a few days ago telling him that his brother and his family had been assassinated but he did not believe it because they had not any news about them. He has tried calling their phones but none went through he still refuses to believe that they were dead. Seeing Natasha in front of him he thought they were all okay and he could finally take a breather. Never was he expecting Natasha to tell him that they were dead and murder to be the cause.
"Nigel?" Nicholas asked. And Natasha nodded.
She could see the colour drain from his face the moment she confirmed it to him. Even his hands seemed to be shaking as well and she could very much understand what he was feeling. She felt the same way before but now she was getting used to it. "He made me watch as he did it and then wanted to kill me as well," she added more.
Nicholas could not say a word as he stared at her. He opened his mouth many times to speak but no words found their way to his lips and then he would close them back.
"Who wanted to kill you?" Came an angry voice of a woman who stood on the stairs looking down at the three people who were seated below. Making her down she was standing face to face with Natasha and a deep frown could be seen on her beautiful face.
She was blonde with dark eyes and a small round face. She stood there waiting for an answer from either of them but no one spoke. Natasha looked at the woman who had just joined them and stood up to greet her.
"Aunt Shelley." She agreed and hugged the woman.
"hugging her back, Shelly asked, "I asked I a question, Natasha, who wanted to kill you?" And pulled away from the hug so she could to a good look at Natasha's face.
"I am fine now, Aunt Shelly," Natasha said holding the woman's hand in hers reassuringly.
"I asked who wanted to kill not how are you doing, we will get there later. Now answer me." Shelly said in a stern voice.
"It was Nigel." Nicholas answered his wife who turned her attention to him." What he told us, was done by him."
Shelly took a step back in shock as fear clouded her vision. Colour had ceased from her face. "What did you say, Nick?" She asked hoping to hear him say he was joking but the man was quiet and it was unsettling. She turned to look at Natasha and rushed over to her.
Grabbing her arms, she spun her around checking everywhere on her body to see if there were any wounds on her body. "Did they hurt you?" She asked still checking her body. "You h aren't hurt anywhere I can't see, are you?"
"I am fine, Aunt Shelly, Reap... Malcolm saved me before they could do anything to me," Natasha said and turned to look where Reaper was seated with a blank face and everyone else followed her line of sight.
"You must be Malcolm, thank you for saving my niece," Shelly said immediately walking over to him and attempting to hug him.
"I don't like physical contact," Reaper said and Shelly stopped in her tracks and smiled brightly at him before nodding her head.
"It's fine, I am just glad that Natasha is fine and alive." She said and Reaper gave a very nod to her.
Nicholas looked at the young who hadn't said much since his arrival as if he only came to be seen and not heard. "Thank you, for saving him," Nicholas said but they were no smile on his face. To him, then looked too suspicious. "How did you know? She was in danger?" Nicholas asked and everyone went quiet.
