The Firework

Yami at first didn't understand why he was seeing 4 silhouettes instead of 2. He was already using his enhanced vision to see something that was still far. Due to this none of the shinobis posted at the gate could see the 4 people heading toward them and neither did the Akatsuki members see the village or the people standing at the gates. It was already dark so they were already nearsighted.

Yami turned to Yura who was talking with one of the senior guards just a few steps away from Yami. He walked toward Yura and said "Elder Yura…I am glad to be working under your expertise." Yami then held out his hand toward Yura. Yura, as well as the senior guard, didn't feel odd at all because it was obvious for normal low-level shinobis to butter up the higher-ups to get a favorable posting or mission.

Yura also didn't think much and shook Yami's hand and asked "What is your name ?"

"Nobu" Yami said and kept shaking Yura's hand.

"Keep doing what you…" Yura was saying this when he suddenly stopped talking. He didn't say anything for the next two seconds and suddenly withdrew his hand from the handshake.

The senior guard was surprised by this and asked "What's the matter elder Yura? Is there some problem?"

Yura came out from his daze and said "Uhh…no…I think I just was lost in thought." Yura then looked at yami once with a gaze of confusion and quickly regained his composure. "I think I forgot something back in the tent. I will take my leave now." Yura said and left.

The senior guard kept looking at Yura back thinking what must have happened but then he looked back at Nobu who was now smiling a little and said "Don't get too excited just because you were able to meet an elder of the council. Get back to your work or else buttering up others won't get you anywhere."

The smile on Yami's face vanished as he heard someone reprimanding him but he still looked at the senior guard and said "I understand sir…I will go back to my post now."

In the desert, the 4 Akatsuki members were getting closer and closer to the hidden sand. The sand storm had already slowed them and even after multiple suggestions made by Deidara and Hidan, Sasori decided to keep walking instead of stopping and taking shelter.

"Come on man…we have been walking for hours now and that two in the desert. We didn't find a single human all this time and even the desert monsters attacked us. Are you sure that you are leading us in the right direction?" Hidan complained for the 7th time.

"We have reached." Sasori said as he looked a little up and the walls of the hidden sand started to appear in front of them. For now, they could only see the outline of a big structure with lights shining at various places but Sasori who was a native of this village… knew this was his home.

"Now what do we do? Should I start?" Deidara asked excitedly. He opened both his hands to show his palms. Hidan and Kakuzu were a little taken aback seeing a mouth in each of his palms. The tongue was coming out of each mouth rolling on his palm as if waiting for a tasty meal.

"Not yet...I have to reach out to my spy inside the village. If he is still usable then I'd rather use him to get us an easier entry. It will save us a lot of time and effort dealing with small fries." Sasori said. When Sasori first heard about the leak in information about his attack on the hidden sand, the only person he could think capable of doing it was Yura but the technique Sasori used on him wouldn't even let Yura know that he is the spy. So Sasori was willing to take a chance. The only other way for the plan to leak would be the wide mouth of Deidara which was a big possibility.

Sasori activated his technique which immediately reached Yura who had just come out of the camp. Him being a traitor and what all he needs to do…everything comes to his mind instantly…it takes a few seconds for him to understand all this and decide on his next step. By this time, the 4 Akatsuki members have already come close to the main gate. A few guards who were stationed at the mouth of the gate look at each other and decided whether they should go ahead and ask the visitors for an ID. Due to the storm and the darkness spread out by late evening, the guards couldn't see their faces and clothes properly.

"Now see my spy clear the way for us." Sasori said as he sensed his jutsu activating. If Yura was the one who gave the info then he wouldn't be guarding the gate like Sasori wanted him to.

The 4 Akatsuki members stopped and waited for Yura to start the fighting but then they saw Yura jump toward them. None of the Akatsuki members moved as they knew he didn't have any weapon in his hand and he hadn't used any chakra.

"What is this idiot doing?" Kakuzu asked as he saw Yura jump at him and the others.

Sasori also frowned as he saw this and the next second Yura appeared in front of the 4 Akatuski members.

"What are you doing ?" Sasori asked but Yura didn't say anything. In fact, he didn't have a single expression on his face and didn't even blink once.

"Something's wrong." Kakuzu said as he sensed chakra being used by Yura. The use was chakra was so minuscule that Hidan and Deidara missed it. The 4 members quickly stepped back and just as they were taking the next step, they saw multiple places on Yura's body inside his shirt light up.

BOOOMMM

They all recognized what that glow was and use various jutsus and defense techniques to save themselves. Their all had years of experience under their belt so their responses were pretty quick.

"Were those…" Deidara asked as he looked at the pieces of flesh that were left of Yura.

"Yes…those were paper bombs and multiple of them attached to my Spy's body." Sasori said with a grave tone.

"But why did he do this? Was he a double agent who was forced to blow himself up?" Deidara asked.

"Who cares…doesn't the blood smell nice…ohh it's been a while since I have experienced it." Hidan said as he clutched the scythe in his hand tighter. There was a smile on his face and seeing it Kakuzu understood that Hidan was now in the mood for more bloodshed.

The guards who were posted at the gate heard and saw the loud boom. The only thing they saw was that elder Yura jumped toward the 4 men and the next second he exploded. Due to the storm, they didn't know whether the men attacked the elder or the elder blew himself up. But they weren't even going to think about the 2nd option so the only thought that came to their mind was the 4 in front of them were the enemy.

Yami was still standing at the gate disguised as Nobu…There was a smile on his face as he looked at the 4 confused Akatsuki members and the sand shinobis who couldn't decide whether to attack the 4 people or not.

"Captain what do we do?" one of the guards asked.

"Did they just kill Elder Yura?" another one asked. Just as the place was going to get noisier, a voice emerged silencing everything "I am here now…don't worry all of you." Everyone recognized that voice immediately.

"Lord Gaara"

"Lord kazekage is here."

"Now these intruders don't stand a chance"

"Yea…Lord Gaara can easily defeat them."

As everyone was confident in Gaara's skills, Yami knew that Gaara stood no chance against the 4 of them. Yami looked back and saw Kankuro and Baki running toward the gate as well. Some of the elders were also behind them.

In all the confusion of the guards cheering and Kankuro and Baki taking care of securing the villagers, Yami slipped away and turned back into Yami. The disguise of Nobu had already served his purpose but the hidden sand's alliance was with the hidden leaf, not Yami…so Yami decided to keep a disguise alive just in case.

"I was doubtful if this new kind of genjutsu would work or not but it is very easy and a lot more effective. I am not sure how Gaara is going to feel about me using his village elder as a firework." Yami muttered as he also remembered the trick he just pulled on Elder Yura.

In the desert, the 4 Akatsuki members were now looking at Gaara who was heading toward them from the village standing on floating sand. He with his worst hairstyle, folded hands, and the gourd of sand on his back looked at the four Akatsuki members and said "The Akatsuki has finally decided to make their move."
