Hiruzen's plan

Mizuna, Kimi, Asami and Hirabi entered a smoke-filled room. The walls are lined with shelves, filled with ancient scrolls, books, and artefacts that hold great historical and cultural significance.

A large, circular window at the rear of the room provides a stunning view of the village and surrounding landscape, while a large, ornate seal on the wall bears the symbol of the Hokage. The overall atmosphere is one of grandeur, tradition, and solemnity, reflecting the importance and gravity of the office's occupant.

He and the others saw 3 people inside it. One is the Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi smoking a cigar, on his left is Himura Mitokado the Hokage's former teammate, and the last one is Koharu Utatane his first slave and also a former teammate of the Hokage

As Hiruzen gazed at Mizuna, he couldn't help but sense that something was off. It wasn't just the unusual attire or the strange aura surrounding him. It was something deeper, something that seemed to defy explanation.

"Hmm... Mizuna, your chakra... it's not quite like anything I've seen before," Hiruzen said, his eyes narrowing in thought.

Mizuna's expression remained calm and collected, but Hiruzen could sense a hint of wariness beneath the surface. "What do you mean, Lord Hokage?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.

Hiruzen's eyes locked onto Mizuna's. "Your chakra is... tainted. It's as if it's been manipulated in some way"

Mizuna's eyes flickered, and for a brief moment, Hiruzen thought he saw a glimmer of unease. But then, it was gone, replaced by an unreadable mask once more.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Lord Hokage," Mizuna said, his tone dripping with innocence.

Hiruzen's eyes narrowed further. He knew that look. He knew that tone. He had seen it before, in the eyes of those who had been consumed by the darkness

"You're hiding something from me, Mizuna," Hiruzen said, his voice firm but controlled. "I want to know what it is."

Asami and Hirabi took one step forward and said "Lord Hokage forgive us for being impolite, He is Mistress Hiyori's Son and the eldest young lord of the Hyuga clan. He's been true a lot just to be able to return here in Konohagakure, please do not misunderstand him"

"He's the son of lady Hiyori?" Hiruzen remembered the report of the anbu around a week ago about meeting Hiyori Hyuga who suddenly disappeared 18 years ago

Hiruzen puffs on his pipe thinking how Hiyori mysteriously appeared with a son and a Uchiha as an adopted daughter. He then looked at Koharu she nodded implying she knew about their identity beforehand

"Is what Koharu said true?" Hirozen blew a puff of smoke towards Mizuna and the others. They nodded then Kimi said "Yes lord Hokage"

"Tell me everything that you saw"

'Hiruzen's intuition is spot on, I need to be careful around him, especially since he has four Jonin level anbus Hiding in the shadows protecting him'

Kimi took a deep breath "My team were sent to gather intelligence at the Land of Rivers, everything looked normal but when we reached a village we witnessed shinobis burning villages, slaughtering innocent civilians. Children, women, old men – no one was spared."

Hiruzen's face twists in disgust and anger.

Kimi and the two Hyuga's eyes well up with tears. "The people of the Land of Wind have lost all sense of humanity. They're driven by a hunger for power and destruction."

Mizuna thought 'damn although haft of Aunt Kimi said is true, the haft of it was a lie, she's good at this'

The room falls silent as Hiruzen processes the devastation Kimi has described.

"The Land of Wind has always been a thorn in our side," Hiruzen said in a low voice. "But this... this is something different. We can't ignore it. We need to know more about their plans and intentions it's very unusual for them to do this"

Mizuna looked at Koharu and nodded his head, seemingly signalling her to do something. Koharu gulped the spoke "Hiruzen I have a plan"

The Hokage looked at her and nodded his head "Continue"

Koharu's eyes gleamed with determination as she outlined her plan. "Hiruzen, I propose that we send a team of shinobi to infiltrate the Land of Wind and investigate what they are planning to do"

Hiruzen's expression turned thoughtful, his eyes narrowing as he considered Koharu's suggestion. "The Land of Wind is a treacherous place, Koharu. We cannot underestimate the dangers that lie within."

"I understand the risks," Koharu replied, her voice steady. "But think of the potential benefits. If we can uncover their plan we may gain a crucial advantage over our enemies and strengthen our village's position in this war"

Hiruzen nodded slowly, his mind working overtime he looked at Homura, and he nodded seemingly agreeing with Koharu's suggestion. "Very well, Koharu. I agree to send a team to investigate. But I want you to assemble the team"

Koharu bowed, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "I will not disappoint you. I will assemble a team of our best shinobis and Kimi and her team will guide them to the location of the villages and then infiltrate the land of wind"

Hiruzen looked at Mizuna again and said "You four can leave first and prepare for your new mission. You will set out early in the morning tomorrow"

After Kimi and his squad left the room, Hiruzen stood up, walked towards the window and said "There's something off about that Mizuna, I don't trust him" he said while puffing up a smoke "What do you two think? "

Homura looked at Koharu and asked, "Aren't you the one that formed that team Koharu?"

"I only agree with his request because he is the nephew of their clan leader, I didn't expect them to return with such an important piece of information"

She shook her head and pretended she was innocent she then looked at Hiruzen and asked, "What do you plan to do?"

Hiruzen was momentarily lost in thought and said, "There's something wrong with that Hyuga, but as we all know we can't do anything to him inside this village"

"let a group of anbu join them, tell the anbus to carefully observe his movements and assasinate them if need be"
