Third is Water Release, Kibishi mused, contemplating his options. It's excellent for defense, and it also has healing properties. Plus, it pairs well with other elements. The only problem is that there aren't many strong Water Release users left in Konoha. Tobirama Senju was the only one who truly mastered it, capable of manifesting massive amounts of water without a nearby source. Hopefully, he left his jutsus in the Senju clan. If not, maybe the Third Hokage has them. I'll use Tobirama's name to convince him if I have to. That is... if I even have Water affinity.
Fourth is Earth Release, he continued his internal list. Great for defense and useful in sealing techniques. Hiruzen is the only person I know who excels in Earth Release in Konoha.
Lastly, Fire Release. His thoughts shifted. While it's known for its sheer destructiveness, it has many counters. Madara might've been the only one to fully master it. Still, if I get Fire affinity, it wouldn't be too bad. Maybe by the time I'm older, I'll have a partner with Wind Release to complement it.
Kibishi silently prayed, Please, God, don't let me down.
After a minute, Kirina returned, carrying five small sheets of chakra paper in her hand.
"Grandma, Grandpa," Kibishi asked curiously, "what are your affinities?"
Bishiro grinned. "I can use all kinds of jutsu, but my main affinities are Earth and Water Release. As for your grandmother, she's a grandmaster of fuinjutsu."
I had a feeling Grandpa would have Earth and Water affinities because he's a Senju, but Grandma being a grandmaster of fuinjutsu is surprising. Even though the Uzumaki are famous for sealing jutsus, reaching the level of a grandmaster takes immense talent and hard work, Kibishi thought, impressed.
Bishiro took one of the chakra papers and handed it to Kibishi. Before giving it to him, he began explaining, "Kibishi, all shinobi know that chakra can take the form of five basic elements—Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning."
I know this already, Kibishi thought, but I'll listen anyway. There might be something new here that the anime didn't cover.
"Most people have a chakra affinity toward one of these five elemental nature transformations," Bishiro continued, holding up the paper. "This paper is made from a special type of tree that reacts to even the faintest hint of chakra, showing what nature affinity you have." He handed the paper to Kibishi, who held it in his palm.
Kibishi focused his chakra into the paper, and within moments, it began to dampen, becoming wet from the bottom up.
"Well, it looks like you've got a Water affinity, just like Tobirama," Kirina remarked, smiling proudly.
Water affinity... not bad, Kibishi thought, feeling satisfied. I'll have to ask about Tobirama's jutsus later.
Bishiro handed him another chakra paper, but Kibishi interrupted, "Grandpa, can I test them all at once?"
Bishiro and Kirina exchanged amused glances. "Impatient, are we?" Kirina teased, giggling. Kibishi feigned embarrassment, scratching the back of his head. Playing the part of a kid really is tiring.
Bishiro handed him the remaining four papers, and Kibishi held them all in his hand at once. Within seconds, one paper wrinkled—indicating Lightning Release—while another caught fire, another split in half—signaling Wind Release—and the last one crumbled into dirt, signifying Earth Release.
Both Kirina and Bishiro were visibly stunned, their breathing irregular as pride and astonishment flickered across their faces. There were only a handful of shinobi in history with affinities for all five elements—Hashirama, Hiruzen, and Kakashi being among them.
Kibishi was equally shocked. This... this is incredible! Having all chakra affinities means I can master them all much faster. The downside is that mastering every nature will take a long time, but if I succeed, I'll be able to counter nearly any opponent. His mind buzzed with excitement.
Bishiro was the first to break the silence. "Congratulations, Kibishi," he said with a proud smile, Kirina echoing his sentiments.
But then his expression grew more serious. "Remember, having immense potential comes with great responsibility," Bishiro warned. "You'll need to use your talents wisely."
Kibishi nodded, fully understanding the gravity of his situation. Power is a tool. I'll use it to protect my family... and for my own goals.
"Okay, Grandpa," he replied, masking his inner thoughts with a childlike sincerity.
"Tomorrow, your grandfather and I will guide you on the path you should take," Kirina added, her tone gentle but firm. She worried that Kibishi's talents could lead to arrogance, but she was determined to steer him toward becoming a fine shinobi.
They don't seem concerned about attracting too much attention, Kibishi noted. I guess it's because I'm the heir of the Senju clan. No one would dare harm me, especially with Grandpa being part of the village council.
After a bit more conversation, the family retired to their rooms for the night. Kibishi lay in bed, his back propped against the wall, deep in thought.
Having all these affinities gives me an advantage, but it also means I'll need to train harder than ever. I need to figure out how to use them all effectively.
He closed his eyes, formulating his next steps. It's still early. I'll meditate for two hours before going to bed.
But his mind wouldn't settle. I also need to consider my future weapon. Something like Orochimaru's Kusanagi blade would be perfect. But the sword I really want is Itachi's Totsuka Blade. Though it's never stated where Itachi got it, many Naruto fans speculated it was part of his Susanoo's arsenal.
He frowned, deep in thought. But if it's not tied to the Susanoo, there's a chance Itachi found it after joining the Akatsuki—perhaps in Uzushiogakure. He joined them after the Uchiha massacre, which means the massacre will take place in about a year and a half. I'll be six by then. That gives me about 1-3 years to prepare and master at least one element.
And about the academy, Kibishi mused, they've made it a policy that you can't graduate until you're at least eleven. But I'll show my skills early and push for an early graduation. I'll ask Grandpa to recommend me to Hiruzen. The academy will also give me a chance to bond with the main characters.
Determined, he grabbed a sheet of paper from his cabinet and began writing down his plan in English—just in case anyone ever found it. No one in this world could read it.
Once he finished, he set the paper aside, sat on the floor, and began meditating. His chakra flowed through him as he focused on his future goals. After an hour and a half of meditation, he finally allowed himself to drift off to sleep.
