Chapter 42 : Weird Fairy Tale

After looking at all the new additions in the system redeem section, Kai gets up from his bed while walking around in his room trying to test the new ability that he is gaining from the bonus that the system was given.

When he is walking around he clearly feels the difference in his stride, it somehow feels a lot more smooth. Even though he doesn't quite understand it yet, somehow he feels every step he takes it feels so efficient in every single leg movement that he does while he tests it by striding around the room.

Because for him, who always does his run on a daily basis and already familiar with his own step, the difference in his stride that he is currently doing feels really unreal and really amazing.

After he was finished trying a little bit about his new ability Kai decided it was enough for now.

He planned to continue his testing when he was outside because when he was still in his room his mother probably was gonna hear him when he kept running around inside the house then he was gonna get scolded by his mother.

So his mind went back to the choice that he was going to take regarding the super power he was going to choose because he was only able to redeem 3 different super powers, he needed to think more carefully about what is the best option.

He himself is also not quite sure what he wants to get from it because of how many different powers there were in this section and he also needs to take into account the power he ends up gonna learn eventually when his chakra was unblocked so it is not gonna get useless when that day comes.

So instead of picking it now and regretting it later, Kai thought he needed to take his time instead being led to his momentary desire to want feeling in power.

After deciding what he wanted and feeling satisfied with himself for thinking more clearly first, Kai went downstairs to where the kitchen was and met with his father who was already sitting on the chair while his mother who seemed almost finished cooking for breakfast.

"Good morning mother, Good morning father."

"Good morning Kai, what makes you take too long to go downstairs?"

"I'm just testing something, mother."

Kai answers while walking to his chair, but when he walks he feels someone staring at him intensely, looking at the source of the feeling Kai sees his father looking at him while holding his chin who seems thinking about something.

Kai thought his father might spot the difference in his stride when he was walking.

"What's wrong father?"

"Your walk is really different, Kai."

"Did you also realize it father?, I also feel weird on the way I'm walking when I just get up from the bed."

Kai tries to make an excuse of the weirdest about the way he walked because he already knows the topic of the system was forbidden to be talked about to other people.

Feeling his father staring at him more intensely Kai feels quite nervous but before he wants to start talking again his father who seems to realize something.

"Ahh you must get inspired when you are in your sleep."

First time hearing something like that Kai doesn't know how to respond to his father's guess about the way he walked

"What's it all about getting inspired when in the sleep, father?"

"It was an old tale about some people who gained knowledge in their sleep, some people say it was coming from the world and some people it was the knowledge from the trace of a legendary figure in the past that accidentally passed by someone's consciousness and some knowledge was left behind."

"It might be the reason you were still awkward when you walked with the new knowledge that you gained, young Kai."

Hearing his father answer Kai didn't know whether to believe it or not, is it also one of the reasons there's so many weird jutsu that doesn't know where it comes from in this world.

He knows there is a sage of six paths whose ancestors of shinobi but does he already died or he missed something that he didn't know or forget.

While he was thinking deeply about it he heard the plate being placed and someone placing the hand on his head.

"Stop thinking deeply about your father's fairy tale Kai, the food is now ready. Go eat your breakfast."

"Yes mother."
