Shishou, Kiba, and Sakura followed Kurenai Yuhi to a training site located in the Konoha forest.
Upon arrival, Kurenai formed three shadow clones with a single-hand seal.
Three years ago, Kurenai realized the limitations of conventional genjutsu, especially after witnessing the scale of battles and ninjutsu used by a certain "bastard."
So, over the past three years, her training had focused on increasing her chakra reserves, yin release perception ninjutsu, and taijutsu.
Specializing in yin release had significantly strengthened Kurenai's mental capabilities, and taijutsu training had greatly enhanced her physical fitness.
As a result, Kurenai's chakra reserves had more than doubled, surpassing even Kakashi's post-Sharingan levels.
After creating her shadow clones, Kurenai looked at Shishou, Kiba, and Sakura and said calmly:
"Your task today is to avoid getting killed by them."
Ninja training was brutal, and Kurenai believed it was beneficial for them to face this harsh reality early on.
Just as she had grown stronger after recognizing the limitations of basic genjutsu, this experience would toughen them up.
Having said that, Kurenai used the Body Flicker Technique to disappear, hiding in a tree to quietly observe while drinking.
"Avoid getting killed... that harsh?"
Shishou looked at the three Kurenai clones, somewhat speechless.
While he was in a good mood, joking around, Kiba and Sakura were nearly scared stiff.
They had just graduated from the ninja academy, and no matter how strong they were, they couldn't possibly match a jōnin like Kurenai.
To Kiba and Sakura, today's beating was inevitable.
Seeing Kiba and Sakura sweating in fear, Shishou smiled:
"Sensei Kurenai won't actually kill us."
"So, today is essentially an escape simulation exercise. If you can't fight, then run!"
With that, Shishou turned and ran at the speed of an academy graduate into the Konoha forest.
One of Kurenai's clones waited ten seconds before chasing after Shishou to capture and "discipline" him.
Seeing Shishou's example, Kiba and Sakura also started to run.
Ten seconds later, the remaining two Kurenai clones began their pursuit.
After ensuring her students and clones were all away, Kurenai put away her bottle and began to meditate, focusing on yin release perception training.
Meanwhile, in the forest, Shishou created a shadow clone to lead Kurenai's clone on a wild goose chase, then used the Hiding with Camouflage Technique to return to the training site and watch.
A few minutes later.
Kiba and Sakura were captured by Kurenai's clones and given a thorough beating.
Afterwards, the clones released them and let them continue running.
With heads full of lumps, Kiba and Sakura gritted their teeth and kept running, only to be caught again shortly after.
Escape, get caught, get beaten, get released, then run again, only to be caught and beaten once more—a cycle of misery.
This was the harsh reality Kiba and Sakura faced today.
Even Shishou, hiding in the trees, felt that Kurenai might be going too far, seeing them bruised and battered.
However, as the beatings continued, Kiba and Sakura's hiding skills noticeably improved. They began hiding for longer periods and were caught less frequently.
Clearly, Kurenai's training method was effective, though harsh.
Satisfied with the progress, Shishou returned to the training ground to observe Kurenai meditating.
He could clearly sense that Kurenai had grown significantly stronger over the years.
"Her chakra reserves have increased considerably. She must have trained very hard, but it's still too slow."
"Should I reveal myself to her? Her reaction would be interesting..."
"But would it scare her off, making her more resistant?"
Watching Kurenai meditate, Shishou pondered his next move as a rebellious disciple.
"Forget it, let's start her on Sage training."
"She's just an elite jōnin now, probably no match for even Hyuga Natsu."
Muttering to himself, Shishou sank into the tree.
Sage training wasn't something that could be achieved overnight, so he decided to have Kurenai start as soon as possible.
Having resolved to be a rebellious disciple, he wouldn't hold back.
However, he didn't plan to meet her in person just yet.
It was broad daylight, and the forest was filled with ninjas training with their students. There were too many eyes, and the Third Hokage might be watching through his telescope. It wasn't the right time to reveal himself.
As the day went on, the forest echoed with Kiba and Sakura's screams.
By two in the afternoon, Kurenai's clones had brought the battered Kiba and Sakura back.
Both were bruised and swollen, looking pitiful.
Even Kiba's dog, Akamaru, looked miserable, with drooping ears and two clear footprints on his body—courtesy of Kurenai's clones.
Seeing them in this state, Shishou couldn't help but laugh.
Once Kurenai's clones disappeared, Shishou canceled his own clone and appeared in front of them, holding several takeout meals.
He had bought these in the village out of boredom.
"Shishou, you didn't get beaten by Sensei Kurenai?"
Seeing Shishou unscathed, Kiba and Sakura were shocked.
They had been beaten to a pulp, yet Shishou looked perfectly fine, not even dirtying his shoes. It felt unfair.
Seeing their shocked expressions, Shishou smiled:
"I used a shadow clone to trick Sensei Kurenai's clone and went back to the village."
"Here, you must be hungry. Have some food."
He handed them the takeout meals.
Stunned, Kiba and Sakura burst into tears.
Shishou's concern only made them feel more pitiful and defeated.
They had been terrified, getting beaten at every turn, while Shishou had casually avoided trouble and even brought them food.
The gap between them felt insurmountable.
Sakura felt even more disheartened because she only knew basic transformation and shuriken techniques. She couldn't even use shadow clones.
Kurenai hadn't gone easy on her because she was a girl.
As a result, Sakura had been beaten more frequently and more severely than Kiba.
