Chapter 186 - "I have fulfilled my promise"

After Finn said those words there was a moment of silence. Everyone stared at Finn with their eyes wide open, the shock was evident in their eyes.

Cough!

"Excuse me! Sir I think you should start making the cure for Sirzechs." The alchemist awkwardly nodded his head and then began to combine all three ingredients.

The whole process took about an hour or so. Everyone quietly watched as the alchemist mixed the three treasures. During the entire process, Rias, Sona and Mio would often glance at Finn.

It looked like the three girls had something in their mind.

After what felt like an eternity, the alchemist was finally done making the cure.

The antidote was a light blue glowing liquid that gave off cold energy.

"Now I will feed him the cure." Everyone except for Finn nervously held their hands. The alchemist gently opened Sirzechs mouth and poured the light blue liquid in his mouth.

After feeding the cure to Sirzechs, for an entire minute nothing happened.

"What happened?"

"Did we make any mistakes?"

Rias and others started panic as time passed. Only Finn was able to sense the changes taking inside Sirzechs body.

"Don't worry. He will wake up now." Just as Finn said those words, Sirzechs right hand slightly moved.

"Brother." Sirzechs suddenly opened his eyes and looked around.

"He is awake." Rias jumped and hugged Sirzechs. Following Rias, Venelana also hugged her dear son.

"Thank you Finn." Zeoticus once again bowed his head to Finn and then wiped his tears. Everyone in the room was emotional.

'No.' Finn preferred to open the diamond box when he was alone.

Finn watched the reunion while resting his back against the wall with his arms folded on his chest.

'With this I have fulfilled my promise. My purpose in Gremory clan is finished. I am sure Sirzechs can handle the rest.' Finn turned around and was about to leave quietly but Sirzechs words stopped Finn.

"Finn, I don't know how I can thank you." Finn turned around and looked at Sirzechs. Sirzechs stood up and with an sincere look he bowed his head at 90 degree angle.

Following Sirzechs everyone including Sona and Mio bowed their heada to Finn. Everyone was very grateful for what Finn has done.

"I don't know what hardships you had to go through to find the rare ingredients needed to make the cure, but allow to me thank you with 3 wishes. I will grant you anything 3 things you ask in my powers." Venelana and Zeoticus looked at Sirzechs in surprise. No one tried to stop Sirzechs as everyone knew Finn deserved it.

Finn looked at Sirzechs sincere eyes for few seconds and then replied. "Sirzechs, I do not lack anything in my life. Now I have a fantastic family. I have created peace in my world. And most important of all I have recovered my powers. I also have fulfilled my promise to Grayfia by saving you. I do not have any wish. My current wish is to live a happy life with my girlfriends."

Sirzechs looked awkward for a moment. Finn's words only had opened doors to many other questions.

"But how can I not thank my benefactor. My savior. You not only have saved me, you deed has helped the Gremory clan from going extinct." Now that Sirzechs was back, it was a matter of time before he pushed back their enemies and reclaim what Gremory clan has lost in this week.

Finn shook his head and replied.

"As a told you, I didn't save you to get any rewards. For now I don't even want anything. So let's me hold on to these three wishes until I find something attractive."

Sirzechs had no choice but to agree with Finn.

"I think this also concludes our business. I originally came here to ally myself with Gremory and seek protection from other factions. But now I am strong enough to take on anyone or any faction in this world."

Finn then looked Rias, Sona and Mio for one last time and then walked out of the room.

"Why do I feel that Finn's was being cold with me?" Sirzechs looked at his parents and asked.

Seeing the guilty look on their faces, Sirzechs was sure something had happened.

"Wait....." Sirzechs then realized something as he began to look around the room.

Just as Sirzechs feared Grayfia was not there.

"Father, I think I need some explanation." Zeoticus nodded his head with a bitter smile.

Meanwhile Finn's last words kept repeating in Rias mind. Finn's words felt more like his way of saying goodbye.

Rias couldn't stop herself from running after Finn.

Under everyone's surprised eyes, Rias opened the door to chased after Finn. Following Rias, Sona and Mio also couldn't stop themselves.

Finn after leaving the room, took his time as he walked towards the library.

Previously Finn had left his favorite black Jacket at the library. Finn wanted to take it before he left.

That Jacket was given to him by Echidna when the girls went for shopping. The Jacket was very important to Finn and he didn't wished to leave his favorite jacket.

"Finn"

Finn stopped walking when Rias called him name from behind. Finn turned around and without changing his expression he looked at Rias.

"What is it Rias? You should be spending your time with your brother." The reason why Finn was being cold to Rias because he didn't wanted her to develop any feelings for him. Finn had no wish to expanding his harem. He already has too much in his plate.

Huff! Huff!

Rias stopped few meters away from Finn. She took few seconds to stabilize her breathing. "Are you....Huff! Are you going to leave without saying anything to me? Why are you acting so cold towards me? Did you forget all the moments we had together." Tears had filled Rias eyes. Seeing Rias sad look, Finn felt his heart ache.

Finn could never forget the things he did to Rias at the library.

Sigh!

"Rias, I am doing this for your own good. If you fall for me then you will be hurt. I think you as the princess of Gremory clan deserve better. There are countless men out there who are better than me." Rias shook her head with a smile.

"I already know what I am doing. Ever since the beginning I had no hesitation. I only want to know if you have anything for me." Looking at those eyes Finn couldn't really lie.

Finn instead of replying took a step and closed the distance between them. "I never said I was going to disappear forever. In future we can spend time and get to know each other. I hope you're understanding what I am saying." Rias nodded her head with a smile. She also wanted to take things slow and easy,

"As for you two of you, I think both of you should come out." Rias turned around and saw Sona and Mio.

Before Rias could ask them on why they were here, Mio spoke first. "Finn thank you very much for everything." Mio bowed her head.

"I owe you my life. If you hadn't saved me that day, then I still would have been running here and there. I apologize if for being cold to you. Before I had my trust issues. It's not that I didn't wanted to trust you. It's more like I was not able to bring myself to trust anyone." Finn nodded with his head without saying anything.

"This all started only after you bought me here. My problems will only end after the demon king is removed. I don't have any interest in reclaiming the throne that rightfully should belong to me. I know what I am about to say might sound like selfish." Mio gathered up her courage as she directly stared into his red eyes.

"Finn, will you help me? I need your strength to destroy the demon faction." Rias and Sona also looked at Finn.

"I will help you. But my help is not free." Finn doesn't wants Sona, Mio and Rias to think he will help them in every situation. He wanted the girls to be dependent on their own.

"I don't have money or power. But as long as you ask me of anything that I am capable of giving I am willing to give it to you. I am willing to become even your maid or worse." Mio seriousness told just how desperate she was to take her revenge on the demon faction.

"I have no interest in hiring you as my maid. But..." Finn looked at her gigantic mountains which were even bigger than Rias. "The future is uncertain."

Finn then chatted with Sona, Mio and Rias for few more minutes. And now it was finally time to leave. "I have left my jacket in the library. Next time I come I will take it from you." After saying that Finn teleported to Yggdrasil world.

Finn needed to prepare for the final battle.
