Chapter 117 - Soul Collecting Magic Circle

Currently Finn was following Grayfia, both of them was flying at their top speed in the direction of North.

Finn time to time looks at Grayfia. The wind was causing Grayfia's plain clothes on her chest to stick to her body. Finn couldn't help but look at her chest few times. Grayfia also noticed his gaze but she remained unconcerned about it. Since Finn was not the first person to look at her but unlike others Finn's eyes didn't had any lust in them, his eyes was filled with pure appreciation.

"Say Grayfia, how long have you been working for Sirzechs?" Finn asked in curiosity.

"I am not exactly sure but it should be something around 200 to 250 years. We devils have very long lifespan so for us 200 to 250 years is not a long time nor a short time. Plus I enjoy working for the Gremory Household and happy with my life here." Finn nodded. Finn looked at Grayfia and thought he wouldn't mind having a maid like Grayfia.

"Grayfia did you ever thought of quitting and setting down and having your own family, husband, child etc." Finn didn't think much when he asked this question.

"I never thought of having any family. I never found anyone with whom I can spent my entire life with." Grayfia answered truthfully. In fact Sirzechs has arranged several blind dates for Grayfia but she never couldn't bring herself to like any of those guys. Over the years Grayfia was too busy to think about her private life and family matters. Grayfia doesn't have any family left, they died in the war, so Grayfia is not that concerned about making her family.

"Go ahead ask anything." Finn decided to be little honest with Grayfia. "We did a background search on you and our investigation shows that you suddenly appeared with the Echidna in a village. But we found nothing about you before you were seen with Echidna. So my question is where is your home?"

Finn didn't thought Sirzechs would able to collect this much information in such short time. 'I have to say I really underestimated the information gathering capacity of Sirzechs Lucifer. It is also possible that other factions also have the same information as Sirzechs has.'

"I live in a place surrounded by trees and mountains. My home is located in a forest. My home is a place that is almost impossible to reach." Grayfia tried analyze Finn's words and find where Finn lives. But thinking about Finn's words only made Grayfia even more confused.

Seeing Grayfia's face, Finn smiled and said."Grayfia we all have our secrets that we never wish to share. My home is a place that I don't wish others to know of. Only the special people in my life is worthy of knowing about my home." Finn is not lying. Finn hid the truth about him being belonging from another, Finn didn't wanted the faction or people who had opened the portal in his Island to know where is he from. That's why Finn took Echidna and Nagahide to his home and even told them about his secret. Finn trusted Echidna and Nagahide very much and knew wouldn't reveal his secret to anyone.

Soon Finn saw a village far deep inside the forest. The whole village looked very calm and peaceful from far away but once Finn got close enough he smelled the intense smell of blood. Finn without any hesitation activated his Tenseigan and looked at the village. The brutal things Finn saw using Tenseigan made Finn regret using his Tenseigan for the first time. The whole scene was just too much even for someone like him who has killed more than ten thousand people in war.

Even 5 years children was not spared. The corpse of children, pregnant womem, man, elders, no one was spared. The entire village was flowing with thick red blood. At the center of the village, a 10 meters big magic circle was made with blood of the villagers. From the looks of it, whoever has killed the villagers has performed some kind of dark magic.

The more Finn saw the more Finn got angry. 'How could someone is heartless enough to kill a child? Not to mention even the pregnant women was not spared.' Finn clenched his fist and gritted his teeths in anger. Finn also noticed that some villagers eyes and other body organs was missing. 'Why would the killer need organs?' Finn couldn't why the killer had to take organs of the dead.

Soon Finn and Grayfia landed at the center of the village. Grayfia seeing the horrifying scene, her expression turned colder than usual. Although Grayfia has lived through the Civil War between old Satan faction and New faction Faction, this was one of the few times she had to try her best to restrain her anger. Finn noticed Grayfia's cold expression and thought. 'Her coldness could definitely give Kaguya a run for the money.'

Finn walked to one of the dead villagers who happened to be a young man in his 20. Finn's left knee touched the ground as Finn raised his left arm over his dead body.

Arise!

Grayfia was confused by what Finn was doing. She curiously began to observe what Finn waa doing.

Arise!

Finn commanded again but nothing happened. Finn understood that something must have happened to the villager's soul. Otherwise Finn could have summoned the soul back ane turn it into his shadow.

"What are you doing?" Grayfia asked.

"I was checking if something had happened to his soul." Finn looked at the magic circle and the said. "I think the magic circle was used to collect the souls of the villager's for some purpose." Grayfia looked at the magic circle and she knew that her theory was correct.

Seeing Grayfia's, Finn felt she knows something. "Grayfia do you know anything about this magic circle?"

Grayfia nodded her head and replied. "At first I had some doubts but hearing your words I am certain that this Magic circle was used by a Necromancer to make his undead even stronger. Soul collecting circle, the process is not simple as the name, a special type of magic circle that is used to make undead stronger by feeding them with souls. The last time I had heard of such thing was during the Civil war." Finn was little surprised hearing her words.

'So in short Necromancer is a cheap ass version of Shadow Monarch. But comparing Necromancer with Ashborn is a insult to Ashborn's face. Necromancer are the contractors while Shadow Monarch is the ruler.' Finn smiled thinking about the last part.

"Grayfia, I noticed that some villager's had their organs missing like someone had taken their organs after their death. Do you know anything about this?"

"Organs are very valuable items sold in the black market. Normally some mercenaries kills their enemy and sells the organs of the human that they killed. It looks like some mercenary group has passed by the village after their death and taken some organs to earn more cash." Finn certainly didn't like this kind of mercenary. If Finn ever were to find the mercenary who took the villager's body parts to make money, Finn will definitely give them a cruel death.

Finn activated his Tenseigan and began to look around. Grayfia didn't notice his eyes color changing as she was not looking at him. 19 Km away Finn found another village which also had same situation as this village. But the most strange thing was that in the middle of the village there was a man sitting in a throne and behind him there was an army of undead.

"Grayfia 19 km to the north." Finn didn't even waste time to tell her what was there in 19 km.

Boom!

The ground beneath his feet shattered like spider wave from the strength he used to jump. Just with Finn's raw strength Finn was able to jump 100 meters up in the air. Then two majestic blue flame wings appeared on his back. Finn then disappeared in a flash.

"Finn wai..... Grayfia wasn't even able to finish. "Come on, you should at least tell me why I should go to 19 km in the north?" Grayfia felt that she and Finn should work in a team. But Finn had left Grayfia.

Grayfia was about to fly towards North but then someone's voice stopped her. "Miss, why don't you play with me?" Grayfia's eyes widened seeing the figure in front of her.
