The operative nodded and disappeared into the shadows, ready to carry out Danzo's orders. Danzo leaned back in his chair, contemplating the potential that lay within Kaito. He would bide his time and wait for the right moment to bring Kaito under his wing.

As Team 10 entered the village gates, they were greeted with nods of approval from the villagers. Asuma led them to the Hokage's office to report the successful completion of their mission. Hiruzen Sarutobi, seated behind his desk, looked up and smiled as they entered.

"Welcome back, Team 10," Hiruzen said warmly. "I've heard good things about your performance on this mission. Please, give me a full report."

Asuma stepped forward and provided a detailed account of their journey, including the encounter with the bandits and how Kaito's Vibrational Echoes had played a crucial role in their success. Hiruzen listened attentively, nodding occasionally.

"Excellent work," Hiruzen said, his gaze shifting to Kaito. "Your technique has proven to be quite valuable, Kaito. Continue to refine it and support your team. Your growth as a shinobi is commendable."

Kaito bowed slightly. "Thank you, Hokage-sama. I will continue to train and improve."

Choji, ever the optimist, added, "Whatever you come up with, we've got your back. We're a team, after all."

Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Asuma opened it to reveal a messenger from the Hokage's office. "Hokage-sama requests a private audience with Kaito Takahashi," the messenger announced.

Kaito's heart skipped a beat. He stood up, exchanged brief glances with his teammates, and followed the messenger back to the Hokage's office. Upon entering, he found Hiruzen deep in thought, a serious expression on his face.

"Kaito," Hiruzen began, his tone grave, "I need to discuss something of great importance with you. Your abilities with Sound Release have caught the attention of certain individuals within the village. It's crucial that you understand the potential dangers and the responsibilities that come with your power."

Kaito listened intently, sensing the weight of Hiruzen's words. "I understand, Hokage-sama. I will do my best to use my abilities wisely and protect the village."

Hiruzen nodded, his expression softening slightly. "I have no doubt that you will. But be wary, Kaito. There are those who may seek to use your talents for their own ends. Stay vigilant and trust in your team."
